    Hymnosis is a band of four friends that have been composing metal music since 2001. We have more than 20 original compositions, 5 of which we have professionally recorded ourselves, and we recently released a self-produced E.P. All the members of the band work or have worked in the music industry and this is clearly demonstrated by the professional way we approach all aspects of our band, beginning with the music we have produced. Pat (singer) is a sound engineer, Bob (bass player) is a graphic designer, Laurie (drummer) is a technical director and tour manager, and SPL (guitar player) is a former sound engineer. We are all passionate and very serious about our music and our band; after 10 years, we can say we live for the band. With that being said, the goal of our E.P. is to show our potential, our sound and our style of metal. We are looking for people that share the same passion we have for metal, and that can give us the opportunity to succeed in the international metal scene. All we need is one chance, because we feel we have all the elements in place to create and share music that is different, groovy and undeniably heavy for years to come. While we are extremely proud of how far we've come on our own, the potential for success working with and learning from a good team that believes in us is very exciting! À travers les années, nous avons réussi à injecter un groove à la Pantera dans nos influences hardcore et progressives. Mais avant toute chose, nous sommes un band metal qui ne suis aucune vague en particulier et qui veut juste faire tripper le plus de monde possible! Notre line-up a pratiquement toujours été le même soit : Laurie Alexander- drums, Bob Lalonde- bass, S.P.L- guitar et Pat Goyette- Voix et bass en studio. On salue notre ancien bassiste Alex Fournier avec qui nous avons eu deux scéances en studio. Suites à ces expériences de studio, l'idée de travaillé dans le domaine c'est réalisée pour Pat. Pat est devenu ingénieur de son au studio Planet de Montréal. Le 29 avril 2011 nous avons sortie notre premier e.p qui s'intitule : « Unmasking Faces ». Ce mini-album est le résultat d'un travail acharné de Pat Goyette en tant qu'ingénieur, Bassiste, Chanteur et mixeur. Le créateur des aspects visuels (du web à la pochette) est nul autre que le bassiste officiel du band : Bob Lalonde. « Unmasking Faces » a été écrit et produit par HymnosiS. Vous pouvez vous le procuré à nos spectacles ou sur itunes. Hymnosis est pour nous une bombe à retardement qu'on a bien hâte de faire péter! Alors n'hésitez pas une seconde à nous contacter pour faire des shows ou pour aller prendre une bière!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------With beginnings as a basement band out of Pincourt, Qc, Canada, Hymnosis is a sleeping giant just waiting to explode on the metal scene. Since 2001, we have evolved our hardcore and progressive influences by adding some Pantera groove to our songs. We are a metal band that doesn't follow any particular music wave and by doing so, a larger audience can enjoy what we do. Our line up has pratically always been the same: Laurie Alexander-drums, Pat Goyette-Vocals and bass in studio ( Pat is also a sound engineer at the studio Planet in Montreal) S.P.L-Guitar and Bob Lalonde-bass. We tank our old bassist Alex Fournier with whom we've had two studio sessions. We've realesed, in april 2011, our first e.p named : « Unmasking Faces ». This e.p was recorded and mixed by our singer Pat Goyette. All the visuals (c.d, logo, web etc …) are made by our bassist : Bob Lalonde. « Unmasking Faces » was written and produced by HymnosiS.
