Los Angeles and London: combined the two music Mecca’s have been responsible for half the greatest songs of the last four decades. So it’s only fitting that when you merge the two into one musical metropolis you get i-94, three English ex-pats and a L.A. musician, who take songwriting to new levels. i-94 formed when band mates Mark and Danny (formally of Bottlefly and signed to Universal) brought in bassist Angelo, and once they hooked up with guitarist Matt, who was a friend from the U.K., the current line-up of i-94 was born. Despite the fact the band are modern road warriors, having played around the world, the name i-94 doesn’t have a thing to do with the interstate highway. “It’s the immigration/visa waiver form you have to fill out to get into the U.S. as a non-resident. It’s called an i-94.”

From fragile, intimate songs, like “Hold Me Now”, "Control", "Please","Broken""Elevate","Oxygen","Come to this" and "Not Alone", to the catchy sass of "Kiss me","Without you",“These Days”, to crunching, energetic rockers like "Go Back In Time","Paralized",“Gun To Your Head", and “She Knows”. From being multi instrumentalists with Danny, Matt and Angelo creating and playing string and keyboard parts, to the engineering, production and mixing skills of Arnell, to creating the artwork, they are completely self contained. We recorded and finished most of these records for absolutely no money, using minimal studio outboard gear,(well, just a Focusrite mic pre) and plug ins on Pro Tools MAC OS 9 and 10. “These albums show that all you need is a vision and pair of ears”, laughs Arnell.
i-94’s previous albums, “DON'T GET NERVOUS” and "CONTROL" had 2 top 5 hits on Yahoo’s Launch Cast Radio in 2005 and early 2006-7 on the Adult Alternative station with “Go Back In Time” and “Not Alone” (reached 3) above artists such as Rob Thomas, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Collective Soul, Nickelback, Three Doors Down, Fall Out boy and Lifehouse. i-94 followed “DON'T GET NERVOUS” with an acoustic cd due to fan demand, “ACOUSTIC SESSIONS” released in summer 2006, also available on Cdbaby.com and iTunes. They followed that with a third album "CONTROL". The single "Somewhere Else else" from that album was in the top ten songs of the international song writing competition, above hundreds of thousands of song entries, it was also nominated for this years LA music awards,"best group with vocal"and received a great response from internet radio.
Hollywood has taken notice. The foursome’s songwriting has caught the attention of many Music Supervisors. Among the movies and TV series that have featured the songs of i-94 are, “Men In Tress” (ABC),NBC's "Celebrity Circus", Keeping up with the kardashians, Animal Planet "Jockeys", Dress my nest, MTV’s “Laguna Beach”, “The Hills”, “Road Rules” and “Road Rules Challenge” Making of the band" The real OC, (the band is now featured on MTV.com), A & E’s “Roller Girls”, National Lampoon’s “Half Baked”, ABC’s “Cutting Edge 2”, TLC’s “LA Riding Club”, Showtime’s “Reversal Of Fortune”, “Smallville,” “Six Feet Under,” “Without A Trace”,” “Crossing Jordan,” and the hit FOX TV show "John Doe".Music for NASCAR racing 2009. Major movie trailers ,Lifetime TV movies and Major movies including, Adam Sandler's "Little Nicky", "The Animal", "Mr Deeds", "Master Of Disguise", "Imaginary Heroes", "Stuey" staring Michael Imperioli,"One Night At McCools","Cruel Intentions" "Racing Stripes", Universals, "Georgia Rule" and many more.
While the band is thankful to have the support of Hollywood and to see their music on the big and little screen so much, they also love to see fans discover i-94 in their natural habitat: on stage. i-94 put on a great live electric and acoustic show. Brits Week at the LA Galaxy Soccer Stadium provided an awesome setting for those epic style anthems!
