New clip for Y Yoga Documentary Feature of Diamond Dallas Page teaching Yoga to Soldiers in Iraq! Full 88 minute movie is coming soon!!!
"I am in the process of creating a film about yoga entitled "Y" Yoga (there is a clip from the film on myspace/ipracticeyoga). The creation of this film has taken 5 years so far and has carried me around the world and the universe.
The nature of the film is documenting this new Western voice in the ancient technology. I have interviewed many incredible yogies and filmed them telling their stories and flowing through their yoga. I have traveled with many of them on yoga retreats all over the world.
In this blog I will reveal more of my journey and i invite you to share your journey. Please share with me and others, how you discovered yoga, what that feeling of yogic discovery is for you and how yoga has and continues to change your life.?
Thanks for taking the time to write me. I am so glad that your documentary is completed...judging by the preview it won't be dissapointing! I will have to order a copy to show to my younger students as an introduction to yoga or on my sick days...just what I needed!
thanx for finding me in spite of the distance! the movie is absolutely beautiful and made me want to be in LA again..i'll order my copy and watch the movie whenever i get homesick and miss my yoga community there :)
Hi Arthur, I saw Y a year or more ago at one of your screenings and watched the final cut tonight. It was very much as I remembered it. It was a nice touch at the end to follow back up with the people and show them "today", especially the young man, good to see he is still with it and as charming as ever. I pretty much wept through most of it. So inspiring. AND I get 90 mins of Ally to practice at home, bonus!
Thank you for your nice comment. I hope you find peace and happiness in your journey.
We may replace leaders, throw money at problems, and perform charitable acts. We may even fix the immediate problems, but we are not fixing the overall problems, just the symptoms. To fix the overall problems, the change must come from within each of us. You may not be able to change the world but you can change yourself by achieving a higher state of mind for the betterment of all. The Waiest™ Discipline is the coming of that new change! As a culture we have now evolved enough to move beyond the old skepticisms of the temporary. We are capable of a global view, a higher insight, not needing to impose our truth on others out of fear and self doubt in order to give our faith validity, but to exist as a whole through our individual discovery of innate enlightenment.

HOLA ARTHUR, EXCELENTE LA PELICULA, ME ENCANTO LA VERDAD QUE SI TODOS VIVIERAMOS EN YOGA SERIA LO IDEAL. ME GUSTARIA PODER TENERLA, TRADUCIDA O DOBLADA AL ESPAÑOL PARA PODER COMPARTIRLA EN ARGENTINA. TE FELICITO!!! BESOS Y UN FUERTE ABRAZO...
Arthur -- Congratulations on completing your film -- as long as the journey might be, I think I underestimated the impact it would have on my own life.
Your documentary was amazing, and I marveled at the camera work as well as the editing. I am also doing much of this film myself, and while daunting, it's an amazing experience.
I will pass the word along about your film for sure!
Our film is in post production, and we'll be submitting it to festivals starting in September. So still hard at work (editing at 2am still) :)
I would love for you to share some of the wisdom you've gained along the way...as much of it has yet to sink into my brain after nearly 3 years!
