It's a great song, I can listen to it over and over. Kurt said he wrote it about the relationship between parents and their children. christ novoselic, probably the coolest rock star i have ever met, this is what happened: portland, oregon... summer of 2007, my girlfriend and "road dawg"/bandmate decided when we found out he was coming to town to play with flipper, that we were going to find him and play him a song. so, we showed up early to dante's and the side door was open and they were doing a soundcheck, i got to see christ for the first time onstage, i was too young when nirvana was still playing live... so i was very excited already, and they finished, he comes off the stage grabs his beer and sits on the bar and we walk right up to him and ask, "do you want to hear a song?" he says "sure" and we play.... i was shaking because it was such an intense thing for me to be playing something i wrote for only him. and after we were done, we asked him if he liked it.... he said "i didn't like it.....(long pause)........................I LOVED IT!" which made my year.... and then we talked for a minute about the industry and he in short warned us of the pitfalls of this kind of work... but there was nothing but love from him.
