we're designed by God
and wondrously made
each part is unique
and of the highest grade
before we were born
each part was assembled
for us to be stewards for life
no matter who we resembled
but in youth we're not wise
we're invincible we believe
taking too many chances
often hurt by blows we receive
some will dislike and complain
about features they discard
as unpleasant or ugly they think
rather than hold them in high regard
but who are we to criticize
the Master's great plan for us
we should appreciate His effort
and stop making such a fuss
for the wonderful job He has done
instead be grateful every day
know we are specially made by Him
and give thanks as we pray

how do we truly define
exactly who we are
are we really honest
or do we hide our star
do we dare to be different
to set the bar even higher
and strive for our very best
like those whom we admire
just look into the mirror
let go - be your authentic self
open your heart to living
once you get off of the shelf
let the good things flow to you
when you decide to let go
let the money and blessings
come when you finally know
live your life with true passion
giving and loving from the heart
make each day a special one
don't be afraid to be smart
you only have one life to live
why not make it be your best
be true to yourself daily
then you'll be ready to rest

I thought of all the things I wanted for Christmas this year and only one gift really stood out.
