Combine a classically trained pianist, driving bass melodies, unique drum riffs, and a lead singer with both charisma and a talent for catchy guitar solos and what do you have? I AM BAND of course. This amazing assembly of musicians got together almost 2 years ago and decided it was time to collaborate their talents and make some music. Within the first five months of their musical union they had recorded and released a full length LP entitled “Better Than That”. Throughout that first year together they created a name for themselves not only in Berrien Springs, Michigan (their hometown), but also in the surrounding cities of SouthWest Michigan. Through hard work and dedication they were able to not only play in, but win every battle of the bands they have competed in. They have also received recognition from a Sony BMG Scout who said “The song “Life and Lyrics” has a sound that is on the road to success. Along with the Scout recognition they have had interview and playing time on various radio stations including 95.3 WAOR and 98.3 “The Coast”.
In August 2008, the band moved to the Chattanooga, Tennessee area in order to continent to spread the word about their music. After returning to Michigan in August 2009, the band has just released a new EP entitled “Simple City”. With a new drummer in their mists the band is already recording music for full length LP that will be released in early 2010. The band plans on spending the remainder of 2009 touring the country and continuing to promote their exciting and catchy music. Drop them an e-mail and you may see them at a venue near you.
