Music is the Sound of the Soul...at least that's what I've been told lol I can span every genre of music & find a number of great songs. In other words, there is no one type of music that is more important to me than another. From Classical to Country, Rock to Rap, R&B to Reggae, Swingdance to Instrumental - the list is endless for me.
Movies
My all time favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. It is just too hilarious, but it's not meant to be, which is the main reason why it's so damn funny. I basically love all movies by Quentin Tarantino. I also love all the poetic martial arts movies Like Hero, or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I love Comedies too, but haven't seen too many good ones lately.
Television
I don't get to watch a whole lot of T.V. these days, mainly because there's no cable in my room, and all I can actually get is Channel 4 lol However, I do love comedy shows like Family Guy, American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force; or good dramas like Law & Order, House, etc. Just anything that can actually maintain a grip on my attention.
Books
Hmm...well I'm a Philosophy major, so books are pretty damn important to me lol I fell in love with many of the works that I read back in high school such as The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger, The Hound of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, and Edith Hamilton's Mythology. However, now that I am in my Collegiate years, I've fallen in love with all manner of books, especially ones that pertain to my major such as Republic by Plato, Candide by Voltaire, and Discourse on Method by Rene Descartes (pronounced Day-cart, please get that right, I hate to hear dis-cart-is)

This is a group of friends I've had for a relatively decent amount of time that I honestly believe have me in a way no other can. They haven't known me for a very long time, but they do speak to me in a very particular way - separate from both each other, as well as from the rest of those that are deemed my friends. They each have a very special voice, culminating a completely different ideal set within my when I speak with them, and as such - have the capability to inspire me or cause me to deliberate to a much greater degree than even some of my Generals. They are generally responsible for my mental & spiritual well-being, as this is the part where they have the greatest effect upon me.
My Five Generals -
I originally got the idea for the name of this Echelon from studying Ancient Chinese History - after the Fall of the Han Dynasty, the land was split between three kingdoms: of Shu, of Wei, and of Wu. In the Shu kingdom, there were a very select few that were held to the highest degree of skill, honor, class, and virtue - they were given the title of the Five Tiger Generals, each were said to be capable of slaying 10,000 men before they would ever need to stop for a second wind. Yeah yeah yeah, I know I'm a lore and mythology nerd - so fuck you lol
I'm not going to lie - practically no one fits in this category. In order for me to deem you with General Status, I must have every confidence in all your capabilities and in your nature. These friends are naturally superior to most - they are intelligent, patient (in a general sense), kind, fair, and can be a hard ass when necessary. They are without equal in at least one field above everyone I have ever known, and have such a deep comprehension of my nature and my actions that they, in some facet, know me better than I know myself. They can almost shift my entire mood based on a few simple words (I say almost because no one has that much volition over me :p). In this layer, I must have known them for usually a great portion of my life, or must have grown extremely close in the time that I have known them. When I think of great people in my life or those that I trust with everything that I have - they are the first to my recollection, and in some ways - I hold these individuals even higher than I've ever held a family member. When there is something entirely wrong or life altering with me to an extraneous degree - these are the only ones to know. My Regime consists of Five Stalwart individuals, much like that of the First with the title - My Liaison, My Chancellor, My Statesman, My Patriarch, and My Director. Upon my death, I entrust everything to be left behind to My Liaison to be distributed as he sees fit, and the rest are to govern over what goes on at that instance with Fairness and Sound Logic. Blessed are these with this title, as my life lay entirely in their hands.

*1) Jose - The One Who Can Always Make Me Laugh
Jose is one of my best friends, and the goofiest one if I say so myself lol I've known him since I was the age of 8 (even though his ass will pointlessly argue with me that it was age 9) and he's been one of the best friends I've ever had. He's the one who always used to come over just because I was bummed, or to take me home from UTA because he knew I didn't have a ride home otherwise. We're brothers in basically all respects save blood, and he's the one who's opinion I generally rely on the most. He's given me some of the funnest times I've had with my friends, and he's the only one I can say with all honesty that can make me laugh no matter what's happened. Even though he may get on my nerves sometimes, or I may just be on the rag depending on the day, he's always around, hell he won't leave me alone sometimes lol but that's ok, he's my "little brother." He is my First General - My Liaison, and he is the first to come to mind when I think back on those who have really stuck their neck out for me. I only wish I were as good a friend to him as he is to me =)
*2) Marshall - The One Who Always Makes Me Think
What can I say about the Self-Supremacist? lol Marshall has been a friend to me for as long as I can remember (age 5 if we want to get technical lol) and he has always remained at my side, even if I've been an ass to him at times (but don't worry, he's an ass too LOL) He is one of the closest, if not the closest friend I have and he's been more than understanding of everything in my life. I can honestly say that this is the most patient man I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and his knowledge of modern religions has been essential in my undertaking of understanding. There were times before where I was most concerned about him leaving this world by his own hand, and it has shown me how much I have gained and relied upon him over the various years. Sure he's a little awkward, a little hateful, and a card-carrying misogynist, but he is my brother through it all, and I'm not just saying that because he's black =) LOL From random spurts of going outside and being swarmed by hoodrat mosquitoes, to playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on my Wii for hours on end for no reason, I have many great and fond memories with my best friend. He is my Second General - My Chancellor, and there is no man that comes to mind better when asked for someone who truly seeks to live by a Code of Ethics one can be proud of.
*3) Marcos - The One Who Can Always Inspire Me
The very first friend I've ever made in my entire life, Marcos has been with me since the very beginning (literally, I met him on the first day of Kindergarten lol) Marcos has always been a best friend and a brother to me. Honestly, I don't really know how we (me, him and Marshall) survived it all and still remained in tact, because there's been a LOT of shit that's come our way lol Now he may reside in Austin, but I still always feel that he's right here with me. Marcos is a man of calm regard that can be best described as a much more political version of King Leonidas from 300, which usually means if I need to be inspired for some reason, I can always reflect upon him yelling at my ass at a pissed off vocal range to "just fuckin' do it." He is my Third General - My Statesman, and this man has been the solitary source of my Self-Confidence and my Resolve.
*4) Celso - The One Who's Just Like Me
Ah yes, my beloved Evil Twin. I've known Celso since my freshman year of High School, and it's been awesome knowing him. We laugh about everything since we think exactly the same and he's given me so much insight on everything it's unreal. My dear Dark Brother is now to be stationed in Germany, where he can learn brutal tactics from the mother land itself lol I never knew Celso was such a rejuvenating source for a good ol' dose of "Fuck That." but he most certainly is. He's now officially been stationed to a tour in Iraq, and I can't honestly say it's been the easy pill to swallow. I pray for safe passage for my dear twin, and rest assured that the best man of them all of holding up the Wall. He is my Fourth General - My Patriarch, and is always by my side, whether he be overseas or not. Celso is a man I've learned to count on to be a great source of tactics, of pragmatics; and, most importantly, of trust.
*5) Kiké - The One Who Always Tries to be There
The truth is...this nigga is always quiet. Kiké has always been the silent type...not sure about the "strong-silent" type, but silent nonetheless. I've known him for about a four to five years now, and contradictory to popular belief at first glance, he actually is a lot of fun. We always end up hanging out at his house one way or another and have a blast being complete, total jackasses. I can't tell you how many hilarious memories I have of all of us playing Rock Band together, or just random little dances he does just for the hell of it...and to get a laugh out of us lol He may not seem like much to many, but Kiké really is a good reliable guy that always tries to lend a hand whenever possible...so long as it doesn't interfere with the Cowboys Season lol He is my Fifth General - My Director I gotta say, I adore little person, he's a pretty stand-up guy...so long as you don't tell him you want him to get married LOL =)
6) Tracy - The Unlikely Friend Who Was Always There
Hmm...there's a thousand different things I could say about the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty lol Tracy is a really good friend of mine I met at UTA, and he's staying that way - whether he likes it or not lol :p Through him and our friend Melvin, I managed to survive in the accursed, bastard group we were all apart of during our Spring Semester. Every Wednesday, the three of us would go have lunch, and we'd always laugh and joke and play, even if we all had more important shit to do :p Tracy can be a bit aggressive, he can come off as bitchy to others, but I think he's great through thick and thin. It was through him that I eventually met that handsome son of mine! (Long story, don't ask lol) Since the days of our initial meeting, he's even become my employer lol I do admire his determination and ability to balance his life and manage his time to suit everything the way he has so neatly. Sometimes, I do wish I had that natural candor for time managment, but then I see how much he has to do...and I'm less inclined to want it lol No matter what I know he and I will remain friends, and we'll always talk about random shit - from Tech stuff like server networks to reason we call each other whores - Tracy's a great friend definitely worth keeping =D
7) Rebeka - The One Who Always Blows Up My Damn Phone
Let's face it, this one's theme song is Crazy Bitch, because...well...she's a crazy bitch. I've known Rebeka almost two years now, and honestly - I don't know how I would live without her. I know I know! She bothers the fuck out of me sometimes, and sometimes I want to put her through a window, but I do love her...in some fashion lol We've both been through alot, and she's always been very supportive of me in my endeavors. Unfortunately, I usually end up being the boot in her ass to get her to do and/or get over shit, but hey? It's what I do...for her anyway. I met her in my Freshman year of college at UTA, and I gotta say - it's been nothing short of a rollercoaster, from randomly bugging the shit out of me in my dorm room, to waking up at 3 am to hear how her and Blind Rage peanut buttered & sardined a nigga's automobile; it's been nothing short of lively if I say so myself. I do love Rebeka, but just in the most platonic senses possible, to my mother's and Marshall's dismay.
8) Miguel - The One That's Always In My Heart
To say the very least, the road for Miguel & I has been a very...tumultuous one. From yo-yoing back & forth between friend & boyfriend has been very taxing, but it has taught us a lot about ourselves, and each other. The time we have spent together has been invaluable, filled with unstoppable laughter, tear-filled eyes, and rejuvenating self-growth. I am truly indebted to my dear Miggy, as it's through him that I've learned so much of what I truly need & desire in life. He is my First Captain of my Court Guard - My Sentry. He really makes me feel special, and really just wants what's best for me. I love you flaco! You'll always be in my heart =)
