First introduced to djing at 15. Learning his trade on a set of Technic’s 1210s. Musically influenced by the Orb, Orbital, The Advent, Andrew Weatherall, Justin Robertson, Dave Clarke, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills Paying attention to U.K labels, Sabersonic/Emissions, Soma, Deconstruction. U.S Detriot and Frankfurt/Berlin techno.
A couple of years doing this led to a trip to Ibiza at 17. Returning with the idea of setting up a home studio. Growing up with music every weekend at Liverpool’s world famous Cream and Voodoo. It’s fair to say that 90’s house and techno where the main influences.
In 2001 Paul won the Redbull music academy competition. This 2 week academy took place in London, watching and learning from established djs/producers and industry movers and shakers from all over the world, also providing gigs at 333 and Dogstar. This lead to an invitation to Stockholm where he joined the team with a new position in Redbull as a Mr X. Purpose being to go back to the northwest of England spreading word of this none advertised yearly competition to all local dj's.
