Music is more than just sound and entertainment, music is life. The greatest music in the world has reflected the rythmns of cultures, times and revelation.
Music is the breath of the world and the vision of our lives.
I began my musical journey performing as a folk, jazz, improvisational artist in my homeland in Leelanau County. After moving to Detroit, within a nine-month period, I was performing as a solo artist in several coffeehouses in the Metro-Detroit area. Later, I became the lead singer, lead guitarist and composer for the group "SoulSun." We released 1 self-titled CD and did over 200 performances in our 3 year history. After those 3 years SoulSun disbanded. I committed my writing abilities to developing an interactive style of music. I also performed in "The Pryde" writing about 75 original songs, doing over 150 performances, releasing 3 CDs, "Savana," "The Red Road," and "Wynd and River." We were featured on radio programs and in many publications. I am currently doing solo performances. My musical education came from two and a half years of Music Theory, Sight and Ear Training, Musical Composition and Experiential Musical Performance at Central Michigan University, and Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI. I have 10 years of professional, musical performance experience. I have also conducted an ongoing, sixteen-year independent study into the many diverse qualities of music. I am self-taught on the guitar.
hey iam, hope all is well with you. just finished up another billy record. should be out by the end of the month. a few new tunes to raise a little more money for them pantries. have a great weekend.
hey there iam, thanks for the good words. things are good here, working the second record and sendin' dollars to the food pantries. don't get much better. hope that you are well.
Hello my friend. I miss you. Was just thinking about you the other day. We need to catch up over a cup of tea, soon. This week is busy but maybe next week, Wednesday?
thanks man, we appreciate it. we can only hope for more people to do the same. it's about the idea, and not really the music. the tunes just give us a medium to generate dollars. if that tapers off, then we'll have to get creative and figure out other ways to raise the money. billy art? billy yard sales? billy lemonade stands? billy flower planting? it really doesn't matter to me, whatever it takes. have a great day.
hey iam, hope you are doing well. we're still workin' away here in ohio. got some new billy tunes we're recording, as well as tryin' to sell a few records to send some moneys to the food pantries. it's goin' well, and we've decided to give it all away now, every bit that we take in from sales. hopefully that will help our people just a little bit more. best to ya'.
