Currently playing in various bands around Yorkshire - a folk-jazz-improv-classical band called 7 hertz, an impressionismy duo called McWatt, The Sleaze Orchestra, I.D.S.T., Sendai, and working with various people in Sheffield and Leeds. I also play in the Sinfonia of Leeds orchestra. I'm occasionally fortunate enough to play with Mary Hampton, David Thomas Broughton, and l'Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp. I spent my early twenties trailing round Europe in punk bands, but settled back in Leeds to learn the double bass about 7 years ago. I'm still learning!

A duo between two of the worlds Free Improvisation/Free Jazz greats! The Pauls have a long association though the incredible improvising quartet Mujician and have played just about everywhere with just about everyone! For me this promises to be one of the outstanding improvisation gigs of 2009!
