I AM THE BRANCH consists of five young, working class men trying to support their kids. Hard of nose but soft of heart, IATB draw influence from their home in Michigan and also the wider world of Acoustic, Hip-Hop inspired, Indie Rock (with cello). In September 2008, I AM THE BRANCH released their debut, 'Drink Tea' EP (Count Your Lucky Stars).
"The exquisitely complex and lingering instrumental 'Drink Tea' sets the tone for the delicious sonic lushness to come. The other five songs are thoughtful, poignant and subdued dulcet gems, with the lovely 'If Yes, Do' and the delicately pretty 'Fight' rating as the definite highlights."

The genesis of IATB traces back to Robbie Pieschke’s solo musings which paved the way for Drink Tea. In collaboration with Aaron Warner (cello) and Empire! Empire! frontman Keith Latinen (drums), along with Brooke Pieschke (vocals), Drink Tea became the starting point for the current IATB roster which includes Robbie (vocals, guitar), Aaron (cello), Tyler Germain (bass), Garret Shetler (drums), and Aaron DeVries (guitar). The addition of Germain, Shetler, and DeVries brings about new influences and backgrounds that further contribute to a dynamic sound and adds new potential to an already ambitious project.
When they’re not watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I AM THE BRANCH are looking for shows and they are itching to play in your town! Please send them love letters and book IATB at iamthebranchband@gmail.com, or send them a myspace message.

Your Freedom & Liberty........ "Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." "Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." "James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
Philosophy, tradition, or being worldly & politically correct will not gain anyone the freedom and liberty that our Lord Jesus Christ made available to us. But when we we love our neighbor as our self, then we gain great freedom, as we in our own way serve each other as God has enabled us.
IATB! THanks for your friendship. We're really enjoying your tunes (esp. the vocals and guitar work)! Definitely let us know if you ever come out west!
