Music having been in many bands over the years, locally, perhaps the most famous being the Moggies - you know the one. I'm currently in band MP4, a band consisting of 4 MPs.. Myself, Kev Brennan, Pete Wishart (formerly of band Runrig) and Greg Knight.
I also have an interest in sports. I regularly go with my son and daughter to watch local football. I enjoy watching Grimsby Town FC, Scunthorpe United FC, Goole Town FC, Brigg Town FC and Winterton Rangers FC. I feel it is important to support local teams as they have an impact on the wider community.
I support many animal welfare charities and campaigned to end hunting with dogs - successfully! I'm a trustee of the Jerry Greens Dog Sanctuary.

About me: Hi, I'm the Labour MP for Brigg & Goole. I come from Grimsby originally and worked in IT in the food industry before entering politics.
I also played both professional and semi-professionally as a musician in numerous bands such as The Moggies, Chinese Whispers, Brix, Zebra & Sneeky Feet.
I now live with my family in Winterton. I'm married to Linda and we have three children. Hannah (19), Jacob (14) and Lydia (10) and our daft dogs Ben & China.
It's great to be the MP for Brigg and Goole an area where I was elected in 1997. I've lived all my life in Northern Lincolnshire and it's good to represent somewhere that is authentically home.
So there's loads to look at - there's more at www.iancawsey.co.uk and there's a blog. Contain your excitement please................
