I got my start as a musician soaking up the college music scene in Southern Ontario. Originally I was a science geek at university, but I went on to study music at Queen's University and McGill. Music school was a great foundation, but listening and playing live have taught me as much as music school ever did. As a songwriter, guitarist, and sax player, my songs and music are inspired by a host of influences that range from songwriters Bruce Cockburn and David Gray, the live shows of Spirit of the West and the Barenaked Ladies, jazz greats Miles Davis and Joe Henderson, and the music of Dave Matthews Band and Counting Crows.
I released my first CD Soul Songs in August 2007, and worked full time the following year to promote that CD, including touring with my band across Canada. In addition to that project, I also play tenor saxophone in the Victoria music scene. At the moment that consists of weekly gigs with the Sunday night house band at Darcy’s Pub. It’s a great band with a three piece horn section, and if you like Tower of Power, James Brown, and Stevie Wonder, you might want to check out our set.
My day job is teaching school music. It’s been an important part of my life for a few years now. I’m married with two amazing step-sons and two beautiful daughters, and family is the most important part of my life.

Oh no! I'm really sorry it literally took me months to answer your post which is now completely irrelevant. I had to take a break from myspace because I was constantly getting spammed/hit on by creepy people, but I'm planning on doing a friend-list, song update, overall myspace overhaul this summer, and I'll be much more active and attentive to my musician friends! Anyway, hope the tour went really well, and I promise I'll come around and catch some shows when I'm in town this summer!
