Jeff Healey, amazing musician and friend, died on Sunday after a lifelong battle against cancer. The Ian Gillan Band, during their North American tour in 2006, had the privilege of playing "When A Blind Man Cries" with Jeff when they passed through Toronto. I am anticipating your new solo release this March!! Any plans for a USA tour this time around? My wife and I attended your Philly gig back in 2006, but believe it or not, it was the first night our newborn was without the both ofus, and started her collic phase the same night as your gig, we had to leave mid-set!! Hey, real spacy new version of smoke on the water! Really rocking! I´ve also been to Lake Geneva this february, after visiting the H.R. Giger Bar in Gruyére... The first hard rock song I´ve ever heard and played on guitar, and it´s still nice!
Ian, I am so sorry for your loss of your friend and the loss to us all , of Jeff's passing. He touched the spirit & soul of millions. I know the tribute concert will be a wonderful but sad occassion.
