*Vulcan's Prayer* 2000 - 2006
"Vulcan's Prayer" was released at the end of 2006. It was a small collection of songs inspired by some of Quiet's biggest influences such as Kraftwerk, Skinny Puppy and Bjork. This was a period defined by strange and obscure lyrics and directions. The point was to be intense, but also to be slightly clinical and detached. "Vulcan's Prayer" started as a seed in 2003 to begin polishing up various demo tracks he had started to accumulate since 2000. This was done with the help of Mr. Christopher who has since 2003 been an instrumental character in the Ian Quiet project serving as co-producer and remixer.
*Dancing God* 2007 - 2008
After the release of "Vulcan's Prayer", Quiet began going through the rest of the demo tracks. By this time he had plenty more and decided to go half "old" and half "new". Looking back, Quiet realized that "Vulcan's Prayer" was missing an essential element that was present in his live shows; dance music. "Dancing God" is the answer, harnassing the techno-industrial of "Vulcan's Prayer" while at the same time embracing the sounds of dance and disco that have been influenced by The B-52's, Fischerspooner, Peaches and more. There are other stylistic interests going on. "Home Sweet Home" ventures into psychedelic spoken-word ambience while other tracks focus on instrumentation and minimalist production.
*Ian Quiet Says...Save The Spotted Mermaid* 2009
The third album was influenced by psychedelic, 90's euro dance and folk music. Over 70 songs were recorded with various artists in various genres, but only 10 were mastered and released. "Angry Splatter Painter" was an early nominee for an Independent Music Award.
*Pu Pu Platter* 2010
