As well as working as a solo performer,playing piano and singing..ian also works with big bands all over the world..he has a regular bunch of ace Brit players including Tim Lapthorn(piano)Thad Kelly and Simon Little(bass)and Mark Fletcher(drums).Ian also double-headers with fellow BBC Award Winners, Claire Martin,Liane Carroll...Legendary cabaret and chansonniere,Barb Jungr..and the renowned trumpeter,Guy Barker. Shaw is currently co-writing original material for a new project with guitarist, David Preston, recently described by JAZZWISE magazine as "impossibly young and not to mention very talented". Preston also features in Shaw's current touring group.
