About me:

Ian Sokoliwski is a Canadian comic book artist, working professionally in the field since 1997, and is currently best-known as a comic book colourist (or colorist for his American friends).

Starting out as a Digital Artist for Digital Chameleon, Ian has since branched out on his own, as a credited colourist on such titles as The Chronicles of Conan for Dark Horse Comics and Paradox for Arcana Studios.

Lately, the work that Ian has been involved with has included:

Kolchak the Night Stalker for Moonstone Comics (colouring - both the covers for The Frankenstein Agenda and the interiors for Night Stalker of the Living Dead);
Lotus by Zeros2Heroes (inking and colouring);
Shadowflame for Arcana Studio (colourist);
Strongarm for Image Comics (cover colourist);
Colony, a webcomic by Bob Layton and Dick Giordano (colourist); and
SELIG: The Second Coming, a comic available for free download from Wowio.com (writer/artist/creator).

Over his career, Ian has also been involved in book illustrations, poster and t-shirt designs, cover design and illustration, and a multitude of private commission work.

Who I'd like to meet:
Ian would really like to meet some of the people he has worked for and worked with over the years. It is pretty easy, using the internet for communication, to never actually meet clients and collaborators.

Hey Ian - - yeah, I'm on comicspace, myspace and facebook - - out here in the middle of nowhere, I use what I can to network.

CRESCENT CITY MAGIC

P.S. - - I'm hoping someday I'll need (and -- knock wood - -be able to afford) a colorist (or colourist) - - maybe for interiors on the above project ...

Oooo! That one's awesome, too! I love the light source from the "crystal ball"! Or is it a "Clea Ball", in this instance?

I loves me some Dr. Strange. I did a pitch for a series a few years back with Marc Andreyko that never went anywhere.

Thanks for the invite. I am pleased to announce that I will be at MarCon (Multiple Alternate Realities Convention) in Columbus Ohio on 26 and 27 May. I will participate in two panel discussions, Emerging Diseases (I get to use my pathology knowledge), and Writing Your Second Novel. They are also hosting an autograph session for me at 3pm on the 26th. The convention should be a great time for all. I will post pictures on my Website www.GreyRealm.com after the Con.

AH HA! I cost more than you! *flex* It's just cause I'm female, methinks. *shifty eyes*

Well...I can't remember if Bob or I told you about this stupid crap going on with the studio *head explodes*...but if there is a Con going on in the 'relative' future (I'm guessing 1-2 months from now) when things settle down and Bob gets invited, then I know he'd LOOOOVE to go up to that...errr Toronto Con is it?
