ibaa was initiated by renowned pianist thomas rosenkranz. the original members met for the first time at an ethiopian resaturant to discuss what they would be playing just a few hours later. their performance that night (2003) at the eastman school of music revealed a beautiful and rare chemistry. built almost completely on improvisation, the group experiments with sound from varied disciplines and backgrounds. the result is atmospheric, cinematic and post psychedelic. music to suspend your disbelief.
inward becomes an anthem is also essentially an evolving project with a rotating cast of participators. since the music is primarily improvisational, there are numerous possibilities to explore. please leave a comment, your thoughts...
there's probably a show tomorrow (monday) night at the bug jar with "clinging to the trees of a forest fire" "ian downey is famous" and "meddlesome meddlesome meddlesome bells, possibly followed by the weekly eighties dance party.
Merci inward becomes an anthem, pour l'add. Glad you came by to listening my music. I really appreciate your support. Best from France ! Patrick Dorobisz
My turn to thank you for the sweet comment! That outfit got me kicked out of the Halloween party. Oh well, what's Bondage Witch to do? Post the pic on the internet, of course!
Cheers to you, too! Lisa
Hi inward becomes an anthem,
I just wanted to drop you a note and hope you've had a happy Easter/ Passover. Holidays always give me time to pause and think of those friends and family who are in my life. It also gives me time to be thankful for each of them... including you. Thank you again for your friendship, I am grateful for you. Have a blessed week!
Tim
Thank you for the request. I'm honored. To say I'm impressed by what you guys and gals are creating "out of nothing" is an understatement. Improvisation is such a pure form of expression. I love what you're doing. I look foward to seeing Gregory Paul again, and hope I'll get the chance to catch the entire group before I head back west.
Warmly, Lisa
Hey inward becomes an anthem,
I just stopped by to thank you for the add, if I haven't already. It means a great deal to me. I will be updating my page in the begining of April after my trip to the studio in March, so if you get a moment stop by, I would love to hear from you!
Thanks,
Tim
