Sounds Like
Nothing you've ever heard before. Promise. The song Ventolin by Aphex Twin is the closest I've found, but that's not really it. It sounds like the end of days, the end of music. It sounds like if you could only perfect this, if you could only do it right, there'd be no need to make a noise ever again. Ibly Dy is the herald of the apocalypse.

Ever get up out of a hot bath too quickly? That's what Ibly Dy sounds like. People have told me it's "breakcore", "nu-jazz", and "avant garde". I don't know if that's right. I'm influenced by the personality of trees, the colour of weather, the distance between objects, the size of my pockets and the idea that you might be able to see inside me. Musically I like a lot of stuff but this doesn't sound like it.
During the summer of 2006 I lived on an uninhabited island on my own for five months. When I left I saw the devil standing on the jetty waving me goodbye. Sometimes I look into the distance and everything around me dissolves into simplicity and malleability. Other times I can't make my hands work in case they do wrong.

¥ this saturday 7 7 7 Tarana are recording their 77th album live @ The Cremorne on London Rd in Sheffield. there will be two sets each with 7 players and the night will be compered by the legendary and also very funny Pete Fuck who may bring a poundand bag full of things noone else could make into comedy items. the soundman for the evening is Nort who i remember from many great music nights on Garden Street.
