Icarus Aquanaut is your everyday, run-of-the-mill rock-n-roll extravaganza. Chris Hall says, "We're you're pretty typical rock band...we throw TV's out of hotel windows, miss soundchecks, drink Evian, and look really cool while doing all of it. We're only different in that we will change the world. We'll see you on the road."
Icarus Aquanaut is reminiscent of the quirky and pretty side of the early 90's grunge scene, with lead guitar layered smoothly over simple two or three-chord riffs, and lots of dynamics. This female fronted guitar based band writes songs with perfect vocal harmonies that are upbeat, emotional, and fun. -The Sentient Bean

We just became Paste Magazine finalists for a contest to determine what up-and-coming artist will perform on a music cruise in Feb. with artists like Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, etc... Voting ends on 12/12, so if you're so inclined, we'd love if you'd vote for Ellery! Here's the link:
regrettably, i will be unable to attend the world premeire of "what's left come morning." i'll have to buy several extra copies in an attempt to relieve my conscience...that little punk at the mutemath/eisley show needed to be shoved (at the very least)...
so, all the songs are pretty good, but whoever played the solos should've used more sweep arpeggios...because that's what yngwie malmsteen would have done.
