About me:

The Icarus Project envisions a new culture and language that resonates with our actual experiences of extreme states of consciousness rather than trying to fit our lives into a conventional framework. We are a network of people living with the dangerous gifts that are commonly labeled as bipolar or related 'mental illness.' The Icarus Project is a collaborative, participatory adventure fueled by inspiration, harm reduction, informed consent and voluntary mutual aid. Together with you we bring the Icarus vision to reality through an Icarus national staff housekeeping collective and a grassroots network of autonomous local support groups across the US and beyond. Let's PLEASE fight this myspace corporate stranglehold & be in touch, meet in the streets, post abt your experiences & refer people to our radical community based, mutual aid website ... Please come be apart of our open source web community http://www.theicarusproject.net
Who I'd like to meet:

Sacred geometry is geometry used in the design of sacred art and
architecture. The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical
ratios, harmonics and proportion are also found in music, light, and
cosmology. This value system is seen as widespread even in prehistory,
a cultural universal of the human condition.

Hello, all.I'm mainly writing to share with you all a podcast I've really been digging lately-I hope that's okay. It's actually a BlogTalkRadio show called "The Stories we Live By"(done by an ex-teacher,Dr.Laurence Simon) that you can tune into live and join in discussions via chat or phone.I've mainly listened to archived shows.I love his perspective & he's interviewed some very interesting people:Thomas Szasz,Bob Whitaker, just to give you an idea.I think some of you might really enjoy his shows.I definitely do & I would even go so far as to say they've helped me quite a bit in clarifying & sorting out how I feel about situations, people,& life in general.Kinda.."therapuetic"!
Anyway,I don't mean for this to sound like a plug or anything.I just really thought there'd be a good chance some of you would find this of value.I don't have the chance to tune in live alot, but this Monday,he's doing a show called "Stories about Genius and Madness and the Stories that Geniuses and the Mad Tell" at 4:00 EST,normally my 4- year-old's taekwondo time, but they're taking the day off so I think I'm gonna listen live for a change.
Here's the Link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/storiesweliveby

This was a bit wordy,so sorry.I just sincerely wanted to share something that might help someone or that someone might just enjoy. Well, you guys all take care of yourselves.Keep learning & loving.-Dess

machineKUNT Records presents a new compilation that seeks to combat
psychiatric abuse.

Sanity is Slavery.

We are more than the mental disorders that you diagnosis with. We are
sick of being locked up for the way we choose to express ourselves. We are sick of Ritalin being force-fed to 10 year old children. We are sick of the constant abuse that goes on in psychiatric institutions. Now is our time to fight.

All genders and genres welcome.

10% of profits go to MindFreedom International (mindfreedom.org) which
is an organization for human rights in the mental health system.

Taking submissions till July 25th. Email haywire@machinekunt.com with high quality waves or aiffs.
