~ Ichabod's Crane is a Brisbane based indie-folk 3 piece : engaging lyricism, dusky, sweet vocals, rhythm and looped cello with live electronic adaption : unique, textured, ambient sounds ~ ..... ~ Ichabod's Crane (solo) first performed in Melbourne in 2006, & has produced 2 EP's, 'A Live Bird' (2006) & 'The Devil & the Deity' (2007). The latter received national airplay on JJJ & was described by Scene magazine as 'hauntingly beautiful'. She also collaborated with Portuguese artist, The Partisan Seed, on the duet, 'Ofelia', in 2008, for his second album, 'Indian Summer'. ~ .. ~ Live performances include consecutive spots at Peat's Ridge Music Festival, (NSW, 2008-09 & 2009-10), other Festivals in NSW & Brisbane, as well as venues in Brisbane, Tokyo and Melbourne. .. .. .. .. .. ... confined during her waking hours to a planet inhabited by crazy human beings, land dwelling animals, sea creatures, flying birds, insects, & sky traversing clouds, (to name but a few) ...one of the most befitting things to do here,... when not sleeping, ...seemed to involve building a bridge to the other worlds made of sounds & thoughts...it is presently 5 cm tall...this is extremely high if you happen to be a little creature, like a flea or a nit... and also very tiny, if you happen to be someone like a giraffe or an emu, (of which there are many in australia - sometimes hanging out at the beach, checking the surf & so on)..(emu's that is, not giraffes)... it is a pleasant bridge....made of bamboo & vines & extending across beautiful predator-filled gorges....it creaks a little when it's passengers are overly anxious or exuberant....& one must hold onto the edges as there are sections which can give way unexpectedly... .. ...... .. the devil & the deity available on ........ .. ....mailing list: email us @...... ichabodscrane@gmail.com.. ..
