Once upon a time there was a great Funk/Rock band from New York City. Energetic, funky, bluesy, rocky, and everything in between best described the I-Crisis (short for identity crisis). Originally a project formed by guitarist Preston 'SoulProduct' Pearson and bassist Anthony 'Tony G.' Garcia in 2001, the band never quite tightened until quite recently, to be exact. SoulProduct and Tony G. underwent a gruelling series of changes in musical style and personnel in the first few years. But by the summer of 2004, they found a front woman in Boston native Kitana Andrews (a.k.a. Pink Chocolate) and thus commenced to go through a series of drummers; but it was in the summer of 2005 that things finally came into focus for the band in the form of drummer, Demian Fernandez. It was this lineup of Kitana/SoulProduct/Tony/Demian that proved the most viable for The I-Crisis. For 2 years, the band graced many stages in and around New York City, from CBGB's to The Pyramid and many more. But in mid July, 2007, Demian left to pursue his future endeavors and Tony joined metal band Velestra. Filling in for the backbeats was the young bass prodigy Martell Brown and the laid back, but always on point keeper of the beats, Brian Mason (both based in Brooklyn). Sadly, in March 2008, The I-Crisis disbanded. But even though the band is gone, the music lives on. So we hope you enjoy the songs that get your booty shakin' and your body rockin'."
