About me:

International City Theatre is a professional, award-winning, non-profit theatre committed to bringing the Southern California community affordable, quality, professional theatre that will be entertaining, intellectually stimulating and emotionally satisfying, and to continuing our growth as a major regional theatre in the United States. Now in our 24th year, ICT performs a five-play season, a holiday show and seven community and educational outreach programs. ICT has received over 200 prestigious awards for excellence in professional theatre. The City Council of Long Beach officially and unanimously recognized ICT as the resident professional theatre company of this City. Our productions and programs reach more than 75,000 people a year. We also work closely with groups such as the City’s Black Manager’s Association, Latino and Asian organizations and the NAACP, collaborating to assist them in raising money for scholarships while introducing new faces to the theatre.

You can GET INVOLVED with International City Theatre by volunteering your time, buying a ticket to a show, or becoming a donor. As a non-profit professional theatre company, we rely on funding from foundations, corportate giving programs, and individual donors like you who value ICT's commitment to the community. With your support we are able to continue expanding our highly regarded and increasingly in-demand Educational & Community Outreach programs for economically-disadvantaged children, families and senior citizens.
More information regarding our Outreach and Educational Programs can be found on our website ictlongbeach.org

Our 2009 Season

June 9 - July 5 FACING EAST By Carol Lynn Pearson

Los Angeles Premiere of a poignant new play about faith and family, diversity and love.
Ruth and Alex McCormick are an upstanding Mormon couple reeling from the suicide of their excommunicated son. Stuck between their faith and their new reality, as they meet their dead son's partner for the first time, they try to come to terms with their own inner demons and the love they lost. Facing East is a compelling and emotionally rich must-see story. August 25 - September 20

BRIGHT IDEAS

By Eric Coble
How far would you go for your child? For Genevra and Joshua Bradley, the question is no longer hypothetical. Their three-year-old son, Mac, is next on the waiting list to get into the Bright Ideas Early Childhood Development Academy. Josh and Gen are one fatal dinner party away from the ultimate success as parents: the right pre-school. You may never look at pre-school – or pesto - the same way again.

October 13 - November 8

SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD

Music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown
Songs for a New World does not tell one story; in fact, it tells a whole collection of stories. Says composer Jason Robert Brown of this riveting musical, “Its about one moment, its about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back.“ audiences are transported from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge 57 stories above Fifth Avenue to meet a startling array of characters. These are the stories and characters of today, told with a driving, exquisitely crafted score running the gamut of today’s popular music.

February 17 - March 22, 2009
THE THREE PENNY OPERA
Music by: Kurt Weill
Book and Lyrics by: Bertolt Brecht
The Threepenny Opera takes audience on a spellbinding tour through the seedy underworld of Victorian London. Brecht and Weill's deliciously dark satire weaves the stories of murderous con artists, mixed with the innocent Polly Peachum and a revolutionary musical score that boasts the classic, "Mack the Knife."

April 28 - May 24, 2009
IS HE DEAD?
By Mark Twain
Adapted by David Ives
The only comedy ever written by Mark Twain, yet not published until 2003, this hilarious new comedy focuses on Jean-Francois Millet, an impoverished young painter of genius, who with the help of his colleagues, stages his own death, as it is only the dead painters who achieve fame and fortune. Tom Sawyer was never this much fun.

If you, or anyone you know or come in contact with is in need of a DJ really cheap and quickly...Please let me know ASAP!

I can do any event, party, birthday, etc...

Prices will be just be based on travel distance, location, and whether it's inside a house, club or building, or outdoors in a park, beach, or other natural setting.

I need the $$$. This has been an incredibly expensive month for me with the passing and burial of my father. I'm looking to make some quick money to cover some of the expenses I incurred.

So please ask and spread the word.

    Love
    Nick

Come join us for an early Christmas Club Night. We will be trimming our tree, and we want you to make the ornaments that will hang on it. Lots of fun, a few snacks, drink specials will be served by the lovely Lady Leah, table top games, videos, and the best of the 80s music with some good ol’ Christmas sounds to bring you in to the holiday spirit spun by the one and only St. Nick.
