Why Should I Choose ID2 Video For My Wedding?
Read on!
Wedding videography is still a relatively young service, but we at ID2 Video realize that we're not the only game in town. If you are considering hiring a videographer for your big day, why not take a moment to reassure yourself that we are the right choice for the job.
ID2 Video is experience.
Some wedding entertainment companies dabble in videography as an extra to their business. The result, unfortunately, is usually a camera in the hands of a DJ, photographer, or staff member who is inexperienced with the subtleties of shooting. When this happens, you are often left with unimpressive point-and-shoot videography with sketchy quality and audio. We focus specifically in film, and have the experience you want under our belts.
This is really our work!
Did you know that many videography companies hire freelance videographers to shoot weddings? Often a company may scout out a videographer with equipment and pay them a portion of the sales for that event. This person may not even know the bride's name until they arrive for the wedding! This also means that all of the samples you may have watched may be from a completely different videographer with a different style and different equipment than the one who will be shooting your event. At ID2 Video, we are proud of our work and NEVER hire freelance videographers. Our company is completely owned and operated by Lori, Chris, and Winston, who you may get to know on our "About Us" page. This means that we will be the ones in contact with you prior to your event, and we will handle all shooting and editing ourselves, so you can rest assured that we will be prepared and knowledgable about your event.
We shoot more footage!
Some videographers prefer to limit the number of tapes they use for an event to make the editing process faster and easier. We prefer to have as much footage as possible, to ensure that not only the best footage makes it into your final DVD, but the MOST. Our videos are so packed with images, you will want to watch them again and again because there is so much to see. While most videographers average around 3 hour-long tapes for a wedding event, we average around 6-9 tapes. Watch our samples to see just how many details we can pack into your video.
ID2 Video never stages captured moments.
Did you know that many videographers will try to force the bride and groom to reshoot moments from the ceremony/reception after it is over to show off their skills? It seems surprising, but we have witnessed firsthand videographers keeping a newly married couple from their reception so that he could shoot a staged close-up of them exchanging rings. This is not only invasive and rude, but artificial. When you watch your finished video, you want to remember the moment you first became man and wife, not a fake re-creation. We promise to always capture the moments you really want: the true ones.
We will never invade or interfere with your wedding.
We are willing to work as hard as it takes to get the perfect footage of your day, but we will never do so at the cost of interrupting your wedding. Some videographers don't think twice about setting up their equipment anywhere and everywhere to snag a pretty shot. What bride would want to get married with a bulky camera plopped between her and her groom? ID2 Videographers are always discreet and will capture your wedding without bringing unnecessary attention to themselves. It's your day, after all. Not ours.
ID2 Video uses a two-camera setup every time.
Many videographers offer only one camera for a client. Others offer two for an additional price. We at ID2 Video believe you shouldn't have to pay extra for full coverage. We shoot with two Sony PD-150's every time to ensure we can capture every moment of your wedding experience properly. This also allows for a multi-angle edit of your wedding ceremony, giving us the opportunity to create a cinematic feel that is our signature.
We aren't just professional videographers, we're experienced filmmakers.
ID2 Video offers the unusual and unique opportunity to have your special event captured and edited by an actual local filmmaker. We were founded on the idea of cinematic videography, and with each member of our staff is experienced independent director, how better to make your personal love story feel like a movie?
We capture feelings, not moments.
Many final products of lesser videographers are, for lack of a better word, cheesy, with tacky novelty transitions and impersonal music. At ID2 Video, we believe that we possess the emotional connection to represent your most beautiful day the way it felt to live through it. We thrive to provide a fully personalized product each time, utilizing every request the couple might have, from requested music and included home photos to more unique requests. After all, we haven't done our job right unless the video you receive is not of just a wedding, but your wedding.
We are with you every step of the way!
Most videographers we have encountered in our experience generally arrive about an hour to an hour and a half before the ceremony begins and start shooting. We can be with you for so much more if you wish. We are accustomed to all-day shoots and are more than happy to get up with the bride for a more complete coverage of your wedding. Also, many videographers, after booking an event, are never seen again until the wedding day. We are here for you to contact at any time up until the big day in case you have any questions or issues. We generally like to meet in person if possible, at the client's convenience, to make sure everything runs as smoothly as can be. Let's work together to give you a perfect experience!
Who I'd like to meet:
Clients past and future, fellow videographers, wedding/event vendors, or anyone who is interested in videography and/or editing.
Equipment
We are currently shooting with a two camera setup consisting of two Sony PD150 cameras. The Sony PD150 is considered superior for its capability to capture crisp video - even in low light.
We also use a Samson wireless mic system that captures crisp, clean sound.

Hi Lori... we won't have our pictures for about two more weeks... so if the video is finished before that point, then I would say not to worry about waiting on the photographer... Thank you so much for filming our wedding... we had a great time with you and the guys and you do a fantastic job with making people comfortable in front of the cameras... almost forgetting that you are even there... which I guess is the point. Thanks again! :-)
Hey Lori and Crew! I get chills when I look at my video cover, it is so awesome!! My grandma just got a DVD player so she could watch the video, and she was amazed. She asked me if I sent the footage to a Hollywood producer!!
Awesome! You guys are great. We got the video, and love it. I will definitely recommend you guys to anyone who is looking for a videographer. :) <3 Sam
Hi! Hope you guys are doing well. Chris - you were in digital multimedia with me. Ha, glad to see it paid off! Is there any way I can see a sample of your wedding work? I have people asking us all the time if we know of any good videographers. Also, how much do you charge? Thanks mucho!! <3 Samantha
