MARC HYPE & JIM DUNLOOP on the funky piano
Marc Hype, born in Berlin in '73, has been deeply involved with Hip-Hop culture since 1988 and has never hesitated to look beyond the turntable platters for inspiration.
Early releases with the now defunct Cheeba Garden at the start of the 90s, winner of the German ITF DJ Mixing Championship of '98 and '99, countless mixtapes, contributions to compilations, remixes and battle tools, founder of the DJ collective, Phaderheadz as well as a solo debut album in 2003 featuring guest appearances by Masta Ace, Souls of Mischief, Mr. Lif, Zion I, Akrobatik, Killa Kela and the Beat Junkies.
Marc Hype's sets are perfectly complemented and enhanced by the presence of his genial partner in crime, Jim Dunloop, a trained classical pianist. Funk breaks, rock loops and old school Hip-Hop beats flow together with the the funky piano live. Their unique concept brought them to almost every country in Europe + the USA, Japan, Russia and Israel!
Marc Hype combines his proven skills on the decks with a natural ability to pick the right tune at the right time. Together with Jim, they keep the dancefloor on full pitch.
Their latest releases on the New York based Milk Crate Rec. and Melting Pot Music were very successful in the worldwide dj-circuit. Jazzman Gerald even dubbed the release of their cover version of Babe Ruth's b-boy classic "The Mexican" as "THE version to have!"
DJ Krime & Live Band
DJ Krime is a double Vestax Extravaganza Eastern European Champion (2001,2002) and 2003 ITF Advancement Champion.
He is a great turntablist and dj who feels well playing different kinds of music. He is playing in the clubs around the world and he has released several mixtapes He is collaborating with famous polish jazz musicians like Joachim Mencel or Slawek Jaskulke. He will perform with the live instruments during our main event.
DJ TIGERSTYLE
Been on this crap since 1998... Earned himself 3 major world titles in 2003 (DMC Battle for Supremacy, Allies/Scratch Perverts' All-Star Beatdown and ITF Advancement Class).
Now finished with the competition scene and moved on to live music and production (electronic/experimental, spaced out hip hop sort of stuff) using 3 turntables, 2 mixers, an MPC, effects and a CD turntable.
Tigerstyle is also in the process of forming a band: The Man who was Thursday ..o, keys and bass guitar, Dave Shaw on drums and myself on turntables and MPC. Kinda electronic, hip hop ish stuff meets classical madness. Stay tuned – the band will perform at the World Final in Krakow.
DJ TROUBL'
Dj Troubl' discovered Djing in 1997, and quickly won his first French
championship in 2000, he soon became Double World Champion in 2002, by winning
both the I.T.F Beat Juggling World title in Munich in November 2002 and one month later
the prestigious Allstar Beatdown organised by the allies (Dj Craze, Infamous, Klever...)
and the Scratch Perverts (Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts...) in New York.
Strongly reinforced by his experience and notoriety gained thru competitions,
Dj Troubl' then decided to focus more on his productions and in making his audience
discover his repertoire of musical experimentations.
Involved in many projects and albums (Beatbreaker Theorapy Vol 1/2, Gasoline,
Battle Weapons Vol 5 & 6...) he decided to concentrate more deeply on releasing break
-beats and mixtape format albums which helped him one of the most versatile and true
dance floor entertainer.
ZIP SKLAD
ZIP Sklad is one of the most important polish hip-hop groups.
The squad was founded in 1996 due to the fusion of two precursors of the Warsaw hip-hop scene – TPWC (Trzecie Pokolenie Warszawskiej Colendy) with Pono and Sokol on board and their cooperation with Koras and FU (KO1FU). The secont part of ZIP Squad was Fundacja (Jedker, Felipe, Mieron, Jazwa
ZIP Sklad is undoubtfully one the most distinguished squads in Poland with the rappers who are of great merit on the Polish hip-hop scene. Their concert under one sign, after such a long period of separation, will for sure be a fantastic and worth watching event.

IDA WORLD FINAL 2008 WILL BE PROMOTED BY SPECIAL VIDEO CLIP. THIS YEAR'S TRACK IS PRODUCED BY FAMOUS BREAKBEAT CREW - AQUASKY (UK). International Dj Association derives directly from the International Turntablist Federation (with its headquarters in San Francisco) which was for many the international organisation gathering Djs from all around the world
It's main goal was to promote turntablism, that is the usage of gramophone as a music instrument. ITF had its agencies in more than 15 countries. However, in the year 2006 the federation suspended its activity for the establishment of IDA – International Dj Association with its european headquarters in Munich.
Establishment of IDA was the cause of the necessary changes that were made to make the ITF competition more attractive and modern.
In the year 2006, federation's agencies operating all over the world, decided to make a reform which lead to the foundation of a new organisation named International DJ Association which started its activity on the 1.1.2007. This day is considered to be the ending of a significant era in the turntablism history.

RBK INTERNATIONAL DJ ASSOCIATION WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007 was promoted by special video clip. We managed to invite world’s famous musicians and dj’s to take part in this project. Track features world famous violin player Nigel Kennedy alongside dj Tigerstyle (UK), DJ Krime (POL), Jim Dunloop (GER) and Mercedresu who was the host of the IDA WORLD FINAL 2007.
Beat for the track was produced by the best polish hip hop producers “White House”. Video clip is directed by Kuba Lubniewski who was twice nominated to prestigious polish FRYDERYK VIDEO AWARDS.
NIGEL KENNEDY
Born in 1956, a student of Yehudi Menuhin and Stephan Grapelli, Nigel Kennedy is currently one of the most respected but also one of the most controversial violinists playing classical music. He proved that not once by bis performing his own arrangements of rock tracks during his concerts, as he feels like a fish in the water when freely improvising. The songs, like being touched by the wand of a magician, sound remarkably new, fresh and interesting.
This worldwide known musician performs on many stages, as he can play wonderfully Tchaikovsky's or Beethoven's compositions, as well as Jimi Hendrix's ones.

Rules & Regulations
IDA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
There are two categories: Technical Category & Showcase Category.
The Technical Category is an ordinary adaptation to the Advancement Class. Both, Juggling and Scratching must have been presented by the DJ in their sets.
The Show Category contains Teams, DJs using effect tools and DJs using Finals Scratch etc.. The important thing in the Show Category is, that the competitors have to present a set, which is close to a song. The main criterion in this Category is musicality and creativity.

Eliminations: 1 3-minute set
Semifinals: 2 2-minute sets
Final: 1 2-minute set
