This Is Not A Riot
The full "12" version is available FREE to anyone who sends their email address to freetracks@corsair-records.com
Taking inspiration from the twin sources of The Enemy Within’s “Strike” (Keith LeBlanc and Adrian Sherwood's 1984 cut-up classic) and The Chemical Brothers habit of sneaking out "Battleweapon" dancefloor-aimed versions of tracks that may or may not appear on upcoming new albums, this is a brand new offering from IDC taken from ongoing recording sessions for his second album due out in 2010.
"This Is Not A Riot" by IDC features the massed International G20 choirs, recorded in situ by IDC's labelmate Chairman Miaaoow at various G20 demonstrations around the world over the past year.
The shorter "7" mix featured in the myspace player on this page is available as a FREE download online from
IDC's website and Corsair Records

Imaginary Bones - first IDC release of 2009 and first new material since 2008's debut album
"This raucous romp could well be IDC's biggest club monster to date."
iDJ 8/10
"This is the most pissed up, drugged up, headfuck of a record that I’ve heard in a very long time, it makes The Prodigy sound like they’ve got The X Factor. Londoner David McCarthy is IDC, and for “Imaginary Bones” he’s drafted in Lo Fidelity Allstars frontman Phil Ward, who does an incredible job on the vocals, think Sean Ryder on a 5 day bender."
DMC Update 5 stars ZZUB Chart 'Hot One'
"If you don't already know his material, I strongly suggest you start now"
iDJ 5 stars recommended album
"A sense of delirious enjoyment - an instantly accessible appeal"
DJ Mag 7/10
"IDC have made a real niche for themselves"
DMC Update 4/5
"'Dancefloor rock'n'roll', I reckon that hits the nail directly on the bass and synth driven head"
Artrocker
Features the singles
'Stomp' "Coming on strong like the snotty nosed, unruly bastard child of Alter Ego's 'Rocker'"
iDJ 5 stars 'Akai Elvis' "You can instantly hear why it's getting the same kind of response LCD Soundsystem's "Losing My Edge" got before it reached saturation levels"
DJ Mag and 'Modern Touch' "Hot Chip meets T-Rex"
iDJ 5 stars
"I shall go on record as declaring this as 2 minutes 53 seconds of perfect pop. Once it's over you just have to play it again... and again."
