Yes, I know it is ironic to be calling out Rupert Murdoch when using a site he owns.

About me:

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton / Richelieu (act III, sc. 1, l. 49)

Friends call me MJ and this is the official MySpace profile for my Ideas and Revolution blog. I do also use this profile for personal stuff and contacts. I post infrequently but do check up on it daily so please feel free to view my posts and leave a comment.

Looking for discussion on political topics, exploring new ideas, while reporting on the coming political and social revolutions...

I have a independent progressive prospective and like to make contact with and engage other open minded people on the left thinking side of the political spectrum.

I have a new blog called Hacking the Machine. Yes, I am a Geek who has become even more so since now a full time Linux user. Windows just blows! Please, don't place me into some type of geek stereotype since your image would be wrong.

During the day I work at the downtown library as a computer technician and at night fight crime as a clerk at a 24/7 convenience store. Yes, it is like living the movie "Clerks" and I try not to let the customers extinguish my hope in mankind.

I am a big sports fan but not as much as was in my younger days. Go Red Sox! Sabres! Bills!

Words people have used to describe me: geek, loner, friend, lover, hacker, animal lover, nice guy, open minded, difficult, (too)honest, and possesses a strange sense of humor. I hope to be called an revolutionist someday... ;-)

If you request me as a friend please include a note if found me from my blogs or where ever as I like to have a dialog rather then just add friends to the list.

Who I'd like to meet:

Looking to make new and interesting friends who are open minded and of the free thinking kind. I am always up for conversation about politics and any other subject of mutual interest. If you are local, BONUS!

Maybe I can learn something new from you?

Thanks for adding me. ¶ Our problems are diverse, but they have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, and murderers, including those in public office, believe people are motivated only by greed and fear. And they'd like us to share that belief, because they use it to justify all their actions and to manipulate us. But you and I have found _love_ inside ourselves and our friends, and it's in everyone if we can just wake them up. Spread the word. ¶ The USA's attack on Iraq has now been going on for five years. Like most wars, it is based on lies. The continuing occupation is making new enemies faster than it can kill them, a strategy beneficial only to arms dealers. Isn't it about time we ended the military-industrial complex? ¶ Don't scapegoat the immigrants -- they're only flooding into our economy because we wrecked theirs. So-called "free trade" and the "free market" are asymmetric, giving investors the freedom to shackle workers. The market's "efficiency" is a lie -- it externalizes costs, perpetuating the inefficiencies of war, poverty, and disease. Let's put an end to the stupid and cruel corporatocracy, before it kills our ecosystem. ¶ We need government control over corporations, not the other way around; government should be by and for the _people_. Transparency in government and public financing of election campaigns would be a good start. Politicians should fear for their jobs; citizens shouldn't fear their government. Most of all, we need more citizens to get involved. ¶ Question authority. Carry on the struggle. Hold onto hope. Keep singing. - Eric
