After Sharon graduated from Forest Park High School in 1986, she and Floyd then moved to Phoenix, Arizona. While living in Florida in the late 1980s, Sharon befriended Cheryl Commesso. Floyd would later be sent to death row for Cheryl's murder. Sharon and Floyd were married in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1989 under the aliases of "Clarence Marcus Hughes" and "Tonya Dawn Tadlock." "Tonya" was killed in a suspicious hit-and-run accident in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Floyd is the main suspect in her death.
