Bill and I met in 1993 and tossed around the idea of starting a band. Owing to being true disciples in the Church Of The Sub-Genius, we didnt get around to it until 1996, when gathering Scotty Pus into the fold as a guitarist we set off to find a drummer. We went through various people and finally Scotty decided to play drums so that we could do the style music we wanted to, as no one but Jason Hodges was able to keep up the pace. I found Gabe, who immediately fell into the life of debauchery we were leading. We gigged around town, played on borrowed and broken equipment, broke audience members collarbones and spilt their beer, all the while with a haze in our minds and a stumble in our gait. Gabe left to travel the North West as a hippie, and Scottie Gilbert was already on hand playing guitar and continued alone, legs splayed and the riffs of Ted Nugent fresh in his fingertips. Scottie eventually decided that a life of truck-driving and lot lizards was a life more deserving and he found his way to Tennessee. In the meantime, Davey was fresh from Suppression and was coerced into playing guitar; he brought a different sound to the band and refreshed the spirit. The end came unbeknownst to us at Farm Dysfunction IV. We came out mentally thrashed and emotionally scathed. The psychedelicatessan was open and the nourishment had been passed out. What a short strange trip it was. (jason.w)
