BORN IN HAITI AS AN ORPHAN RAISED IN HOLLIS QUEENS LIVING OFF A HIP HOP CULTURE DANCING SINGING PLAYING INSTRUMENTS AND DRAWING AS A HOBBIE ART JUST RAN THRU ME STARTED DJING AT 12 UNDER THE NAME COPASTEDIC AND LATER CHANGED IT TO COPASETIC
I grew up in Shady Ville(Queens village) my cousin was cool with Dj Clue(Desert Storm) and Dj Fro(formly G Unit's dj) so I always had exclusives on the block selling and dubbing blends tapes until I bought my first set of turntables linertechs 1700's with a numark mixer when I was 14(1992) off my main man Dj T-Ron(IDIQ) and started making my own mix tapes for my friends and family. By 1994 I started going to Dj Battles seeing SpinBad JS-1 Sinister Rob Swift Rolly Roll Q Bert Mix Master Mike change the game I went into battle mode too. I met the X-Men in 1995 at Fat Beats ever since then my life changed. I was studying art in school so music was still just a hobby. I never entered a battle but use to battle around the way dj's for props. Summer 1996 when Nas It Was Written came out I hooked up with the Iraq(lefrak) Kuwait(QB) connection CNN Noreaga Capone and help form Dj Absolut's career. 1997 I tried to go to every ascap meeting and seminar (fat shouts to Wendy) I could with my boy Dj Pills and was making mixtapes and doing parties with Dj OBah. By the time I started College I already new what I wanted to do so in 1998 I got an internship at Columbia Records in the black music department working under Alex Higdon that didn't last long because of their budget at the time. So I got a job at a law firm and started reading books on the music business. The summer of 1998 I was diagnosed with bi polar through all this music was still just a hobby until I started rhyming with Double Edge in 1999 under the name Ricky Spitz I started working for a non profit organization called ADL(anti defamation league) as a book clerk so I read books all day and hooked up mics and equipment for meetings this lead me to believe my gift was in sound.
I been on 6 albums between 2000-2008 produced my the Believerz my demo was never released and started The Ransom Mixtape series 2003-4 and The Blend Infamy 2002-8 series and was featured on Street Crediblity 2 2004.
