Who I'd like to meet:
People of all different genders and orientations. People interested in queer culture, gender deconstruction, and the arts. The performer or the audience, the teacher or the student. Those who dare to be different and challenge the norm. Boy or girl, butch or femme. Drag kings, drag queens, and everything in between.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN VANCOUVER: STUDY ON HOMOPHOBIA & TRANPSHOBIA IN HIGH SCHOOL
Interested in being involved? Join a short (1-1.5 hour) one-time discussion group.
Do you meet the following criteria?
1) Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited or queer (GLBTTQ) individual who feels that you were bullied in high school because of your sexual orientation or gender identity;
2) 19 years of age or older;
3) graduated from or left a Canadian high school in the year 2002 or later. (You did not have to be 'out' in high school)
If you fit these criteria and are interested in discussing your experiences (both positive and negative) with other GLBTTQ people who have also experienced bullying you’re invited to participate! Refreshments will be provided.

hey folks, i loved the article in xtra west this week! nice to see y'all sticking true to form. thankin' you for keeping me laughing so hard. it reminded me of a song, maybe you've heard it..."send in the clowns". it is an honour to see so many folks thinking that being a drag king is a good thing to be. yep, gotta love drag kings. ;)
