I-DREN....The word means bredren or brother,This signifies the bond between the members of ths band. I-DREN came together 25 years ago and was one of the first reggae bands in Los Angeles. I-DREN was dubed by the late, great PRINCE ITAL JOE as the 'I-DREN underground syndicate Family'. I-DREN focus is on the variuos vocal styles of all its members, and the intricate background arrangments that"mek things sweeta". Unlike most bands, each member is a writer, arranger, lead vocalist and a muscian.I-DREN's blend of flavors give a wide spectrum of the reggae world, from highly spiritual content of "RED GOLD AND GREEN" by Jah T, to the dance hall party vibes of "BE MY NATTY GIRL"by Tony Gits(which was a 1 song in Hawaii-for 28 weeks) All the members of I-DREN and seasoned muscians and this is evident in each of their accomplishments....TONY GITS, vocal and guitars, has recently returned from Germany where he toured and worked with many artist and was the producer of "THE FIRST ANNUAL REGGAE FESTIVAL OF BERLIN". Tony Gits released his third CD "Change The World" ....... JAHVIN, vocals, Bass, is a prominent muscian in the LA area and works with artists like Michigan and smiley,Ras Michael, EEk A Mouse. Jahvin is also the founder and directer of TEMPO PRODUCTIONS which is a independent label and a distribution company. KENYATTA, vocals, drums is a master drummer and teaches in LA. JAH T Vocals, Percussion is a very talented singer and his done work with artist like Sugar Minott and many others. STEVIE, vocal, guitar a well established muscian in the reggae scene plays with such artist as Barinton Levi,Sean Paul and so many others we would need another website for his accoplihments. MILTON, keyboards and vocals—A bass player and vocalist who writes records and produces in all styles from Reggae/Dancehall to Pop, R&B to Country, Classical to Rap and Hip Hop. Stevie and Milton formed Blaq ‘n Wyte, a soulful R&B group in the 90’s. He has worked with artists like Ras Michael, Mikey Dread, Eeka Mouse, Sister Carol, The Wailers, Michael Rose, Junior Reed and Yami Bolo.Together IDREN creates a sound that is real and original to say the least, and their only mission is to make this world a better place for all who share it. spreading the sound of love and harmony in form of music.
