Drummer, songwriter and producer currently residing in the Los Angeles area. I am originally from Philadelphia, PA. which at that time was the Soul and R&B capital of the world. I was very fortunate that my family was involved in the music business which allowed me to meet and play at a very young age with some of the music industry's greatest performers and entertainers.
I started my musical journey at the age of 6 when I began playing violin. Of course this was not my First choice, but like most of you, my parents had the Final choice. I can vividly remember the first time I fell in love with the drums. My brother was a keyboardist in Philly and was doing a TV show with his classmate Gerry Brown. I saw Gerry having so much fun twirling sticks and playing grooves that I couldn't keep still. It was at that point I knew what I wanted to do.
I've had incredible opportunities to perform with some of the music industry's greats such as Dionne Warwick, Smokey Robinson, Sheena Easton, James Ingram, Peabo Bryson, Gloria Estefan, The Spinners, Deniece Williams, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Olivia Newton John, Joe Sample, Ronnie & Hubert Laws & Family, Neil Sedaka Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., Helen Baylor, Paul Taylor, Rob Mullins, Zachary Breaux, Everette Harp and many many others. Dionne Warwick's Band has been home for me for the last seven years. It's an amazing opportunity to tour with such a legend as well as perform with some of the most incredible Musicians and Symphony Orchestras in the world. We've been on Dionne's 45th Anniversary World Tour for the last 4 years and have traveled to just about every continent and country on the planet. I've been very fortunate to see and perform in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Am I having fun yet??? Yep!! I've been blessed to tour with great collaborations of artists such as the "Colors of Christmas Tour" featuring James Ingram, Peabo Bryson, Dionne Warwick and Deneice Williams, the "Soul Divas Tour" featuring Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole and Dionne Warwick and the "Zebra Jazz All-Stars Tour" featuring Rob Mullins, Lee Oscar, Zachary Breaux, Brian Bromberg and Mark Portman. What great experiences these were!!
I am currently working my solo project as well as writing and producing for many of the top smooth jazz artists. I have most recently formed a new record label, "Black Note Entertainment" which I am very excited about and am looking forward to getting out on the road with my band. I am so blessed to have whom I consider the best musicians in the world as my friends, so I know we will have a blast performing together.
