lifes journey isnt about arriving at the grave well and intact. its about skiddig in sideways.. totally tore up, saying.. exlaiming.. "hell ya!!" " what a ride"!!!
I just got word Sunday that I will be returning to film Rollercon this year independently and exclusively, in direct cooperation with Rollercon and the WFTDA.
For those of you that don't know me, I am the official videographer for the Charm City Rollergirls, and I was part of last year's film crew shooting for Rollercon Films. I ended up editing the last 2 films as well, Rollercon-The Movie and the Team Rad v. Team Awesome Bouts. (I am told DVDs will be available at Rollercon, but I am not in charge of that or the Rollercon Films pay per view download website or distribution, please email any inquiries about downloads from last year to capella@defining.com)
Due to the last minute arrangements and lack of funding I have no crew other than myself and Jenn. I am looking for volunteers to help shoot the Fremont Street challenge bouts, and the WFTDA sanctioned bouts at Desert Breeze. I will be bringing a few handycams along with the 2 pro cameras Jenn and I use now, but if anyone has a nice 3CCD chip camera and can help us that would be even more super amazingly awesome! I will possibly have 1 nice camera available as well, but it is not mine and can only entrust it to an experienced operator.
The bouts are 20 minutes long, and I just need someone preferably with knowledge of the game to follow the action for the duration of the bout without starting and stopping the tape. It doesn't matter if you have a great shot the whole time, that's why I need as many cameras as possible there to cover the action close up.
I have no budget, but you will get credit for shooting, and if you help out for multiple bouts I'll buy you a big fruity drink and rub your feet. (Nonsexual)
