    Our AdoptaShark.com program takes part in groundbreaking shark research and education efforts. Using modern diving techniques and equipment, our investigators physically place satellite and acoustic tracking tags on large sharks. The information from these tags is transmitted to satellites and the shark's migration can be tracked anywhere around the world. Adopting a shark is the publics' chance to make a difference.

    Not only can you actively contribute to the conservation of these living fossils, you can actually track and name your own living shark! To adopt a shark, go to:

IEMANYA is an international organization of scientists, educators and environmentalists committed to protecting marine life, especially sharks and rays, while addressing the socio-economic repercussions of conservation within the communities that depend on marine resources. I.E.M.A.N.Y.A stands for Research, Education, Management, and Advisory (Investigacion, Educacion, Manejo y Asesoria in Spanish).
