Please check out some of the fine musicians below. They are all great players and deserve earnest recognition.
Here are some clips of Ian playing alto flute on a piece by local composer Ian Munro: http://ianmunrobot.com/audiopages/
Take care and have a great day!
1. Sarah Sings: one of the first tunes I wrote for Jones, live at Chris', September 2008. The band is Ross Bellenoit(g), Ryan Kuhns(b), and Matt Scarano(d).
2. My Spirit: original tune from the same gig. Inspired by the Thomas Hardy poem "My spirit will not haunt the mound."
3. The Halifax Parallax: one of my more recent compositions, featuring the recent Jones Quintet from Valentine's Day, 2009 at Chris' Jazz Cafe: Chris Aschman(t), Ross Bellenoit (g), Ryan Kuhns(b), and Anwar Marshall(d).. The parallax is the angular difference between two vantage points. I was picturing Halifax in four dimensions, thus this tune.
4. No Stalgia: an original, from the same gig.
5. Secret Sorrow: a beautiful composition by Ross Bellenoit, also from Chris', September 2008.
6. When We Were Kings: original composition for wind sextet, from my senior recital, March 2008.

Bonjour Ian Thanks for the friendly add I really appreciate your beautiful and sensitive sound Best wishes from France (Follow me on twitter.com/pascal95 ) Pascal
I change the profile song from time to time. I discovered this one this weekend, blipped a lot of their stuff.
Yeah, me too, I am learning to pour more and more into my alto. It feeds something in me, even though what I am doing can't really be called playing yet. It's changing things for me. Yesterday afternoon, for example, I got home quite disappointed by something, and/so I grabbed my alto.
I want one of those Japanese mutes so that I can play in the middle of the night as well if I want or play for hours and hours (without testing my neighbors' patience, lol). Such a mute would add weight but if i play while seated, it should work out fine. The recording facility should be fun too.
Btw, my parrot really digs my alto, LOL. The other day the silly bird WANTED me to play!
Thanks a lot my friend....my favorite musicians are from philadelphia......i would like to jamm....and i let you know when i take my trip to the U.S.A...thats my biggest dream...peace bro.
