About me: The Inland Empire Urban Fruit Harvest Project is a community initiative which operates across Inland Empire neighborhoods.
Our idea is simple: we build communities and strengthen food security using local backyard fruit. We connect with people who have excess fruit from their backyard fruit trees with those who have the time and energy to harvest it. Most of the harvested fruit is donated to community organizations and individuals in need.
If you take the time to look around you can find food growing just about everywhere in Riverside. The fruit rarely gets eaten or harvested to its full potential.
The fruit around Riverside and surrounding cities has an abundance of fruit trees that are ripe and ready to eat. The nutrients from those fruit need to be put into your hands and in the hands of people who need.

Okay starting off this week with the help of my friend Rocio. She and I picked grapefruit, oranges and lemons...and donated 335lbs today. :)
Feb.10th, donated 170lbs of oranges, tangerines and advocados...thank you all

March 2nd we donates 123lbs of avocados, oranges and grapefruit. Thank you to Kate, Mariana, Deborah, Rocio, JJ, Cindy, Raleigh and all others.
March 4 - Thank you, Suzi for your lemon and orange trees. Rocio and I were able to donate 209lbs of fresh fruit.
March 13th we donated 185lbs of fresh Lemons..thank you Suzy Jones for your donation.

I want to get folks to help out so let me get back to you in regards to this. I know alot of folks that will be interested in volunteering. I know 3 organizations that are in need of donations, how do they go about receiving and participating in picking of the fruit?
