About 徳川家康 Ieyasu Tokugawa

三河国,愛知県,岡崎の城主松平広忠の子で幼名は竹千代。おさないころから駿河国,静岡県の今川氏の人質となり駿府(今の静岡市)で十数年間の人質時代をすごした。１５６０年,桶狭間の戦いで今川氏がやぶれると岡崎に帰って自立。やがて織田信長と同盟をむすび三河の一向一揆を平定して松平の姓を徳川とあらためた。このあと三方ヶ原の戦いで武田信玄に大敗したほかは数度の合戦に勝利し１５８２年までに三河・駿河国・遠江国 (静岡県)・甲斐国 (山梨県)を手に入れ東海一の大大名となった。信長の死後,豊臣秀吉が全国統一の戦いを始めるとこれとたたかったが小牧・長久手の戦いののち和解し秀吉の統一事業に協力。１５９０年の小田原平定後秀吉から関東へうつることを命じられ、以後江戸城を本拠として関東８か国の経営にあたり五大老の筆頭で２５０万石を領有する最有力大名となった。さらに秀吉の死後におきた関ヶ原の戦い(１６００年)に勝って天下支配の実権をにぎり１６０３年征夷大将軍に任じられて江戸幕府を開いた。家康はこのあとわずか２年で将軍職を子の秀忠にゆずり駿府に引退して大御所とよばれたがいぜん政治の実権はにぎりつづけた。そして多くのいいがかりをつけて豊臣方を挑発し大阪の陣で豊臣氏をほろぼして天下統一を完成(１６１５年)。これを機に武家諸法度を制定して全国の大名に対して幕府の命令にしたがわせるようにした。翌年７５歳で病死し遺がいは駿府郊外の久能山にほうむられたのち日光栃木県の東照宮に改葬された。２００７年、現代に蘇りダンスミュージックを通じ群衆に独自の哲学を問いかける。
