| .. | I scored as an Idealist. Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.

Ifasehun's Blurbs |
About me:
I currently live in St. Louis,
Missouri with my wife and son. This is where I was raised for the most part, although
I still recognize Lake Charles, Louisiana as my hometown. Most of my family is
from and residing in Louisiana or Texas. I attended college and lived in Nashville,
Tennessee during the early to mid 90s. I have been an Ab'Orisa
or devotee of the Orisa
since 1990. Born into a very spiritual family I experienced Christianity, Nationalist
Islam as well as the Kemetic tradition, as taught through Ausar Auset Society
during my childhood and adolescent years, before settling down with Orisa worship
during my early adulthood.
I am an Initiated Afrikan
Priest in Training. (Orisa'ifa- Yoruba Tradition). I was initiated to the Orisa
Priesthood of Olokun in June 2004.
In addition to spiritual
pursuits I took an early interest to meditation and have included as a major
part of my spiritual practice since I was 15 years old.
I am the webmaster of Roots
and Rooted, the creator of Outstanding
Priests of Traditional African Religion, and one of only a few people to
ever moderate the Orisa Mailing List.
I am heavily involved in
the Hands Off Assata and Monthly
Action Alert Campaign. I believe in Afrikan holistic spirituality - the
kind of spirituality that impacts social, cultural, political, sexual and gender
issues and is rooted in traditional Afrikan values, not contemporary lobbying,
rationale nor "progress". I am a Pan-Afrikan and Africentric. I am
pro - indigenous culture, that is, I support the renaissance of all indigenous
cultures of all people of color. I believe clean water and air should be free.
I believe anyone that sells or legislates the use of these vital resources is
a criminal and unethical.
I am also a father
and a husband. I earn a living as a non-profit
consultant. I like making jokes. I enjoy reading. I am a vegetarian. I am
a lifelong student of meditation. I am a grassroots activist. I am a Pan-Afrikan.
I believe in Afrocentricity. I believe in the Nguzo
Saba. I love the Earth and all of Nature.

Who I'd like to meet:
Spiritualists,
Priests, Devotees, and Mediums who are initiated and/or committed, actively
engaged, supremely confident and continually growing within Indigenous African
Spiritual Traditions, otherwise known as African Religion to the general Masses.
Those involved in Ausar Auset Society, Akan, Vodun, Voodoo, Orisa'Ifa, etc.
In love with and working on behalf of the Ancestors and the Black Gods that
launched civilization.
Activists
that are grounded in reality, who are built on experience,
allergic to armchairs, and who not afraid of wiretaps, double
agents, charlatans, judas-types, colin & condolezza, federal investigators,
traps, exhort ion, bribes or threats. People that are more afraid to sit still
than to die. More excited about winning than wondering if we have already lost.
So grassroots I got to sprinkle fertilizer on the ground when we talk. Let's
get free.
Street soldiers
that don't want to sell drugs anymore, that want to rescue other dealers, that
want to help the lives they have destroyed, that want to elevate the spirits
of those they lost. Save a life to save your own young warriors! Rechannel
that energy.
Mother,
fathers, sons, daughters of Afrika. People that believe that no matter where
they were born that they are Afrikan. Real Afrikan. Deep ebony black, even beneath
yellow bone skin, behind the wheels of Hondas and Spinners. Real Afrikan like
dark sky. Like deep soul. Like Rivers that flow so hard you'd get swept away
trying to spit a line about military service or civil service. But that
would jump over a pew or bleacher or desk to get to some community service.
