Who I'd like to meet: If I Didn't Care is a Hitchcockian film noir thriller set in the bleak off-season of the Hamptons. The film stars Bill Sage, Roy Scheider, Noelle Beck, Susie Misner and Ronald Guttman. It was written, directed and produced by the brother team of Benjamin Cummings & Orson Cummings, who grew up and currently reside in the Hamptons.
As an audience, Benjamin Cummings & Orson Cummings seek first and foremost all those who are fans of the film noir genre. If you like Old School, movies like Double Indemnity or Chinatown, you will be a fan or our film.
We also seek those who recognize the talents of the American legend, Roy Scheider. He is ready for a comeback. This is a man who played key roles in not only Jaws, but Marathon Man, Sorcerer, All That Jazz and The French Connection.
Lastly, we seek those who recognize that film is an art form, not a widget or merely a business. The medium that brought us works like Citizen Kane and Lawrence Of Arabia has been given short shift of late and needs to regain its respectability. We are not snobs, as we also site crowdpleasers like Predator and Die Hard among our favorites, but we do believe that these films were crafted by experts who cared about their audience and not just their audience's cash.
If you share these feelings we'd love to have you as a friend of the picture.
