I Fly Spitfires has been making inroads in the lagging Edinburgh music scene for the past two years.
Their constant commitment to bringing Scotland's Capital the newest and best live music coupled with their passion for recorded music from across the spectrum of popular music designed for dancing has revitalised Scotland's capital and it's revellers.
This enthusiasm and eye/ear for quality has put them at the forefront of Scotland's young promoters and gained them a sponsorship with Drowned in Sound, Europe's most visited music website.
Although the clubnight which gave them their reputation opened it's doors for the last time in October 2007, I Fly Spitfires is still committed to discovering the finest young and upcoming acts and have so far done shows for the likes Foals, Blood Red Shoes, Kate Nash, Los Campesinos!, Good Shoes and Hot Club de Paris, to name a few, over the short time they have been promoting.

* ENVELOPES are a French/ Swedish 5 piece. They are now touring their second, highly anticipated and critically acclaimed album 'Here Comes The Wind':

AMPBOX is primarily a club night; but when the chance came to have Envelopes play Scotland an exception had to be made. Don't miss them play an intimate venue with such amazing support.
After The Sleepless Crew and Boy 8-Bit ripped the wee red apart last month we felt we had a lot to live up to… we've put our heads together, and feel we've done just that..
*KONX-OM-PAX, tom has been on the music scene for years- having DJed alongside the likes of Autechre, Vex'd and Modeselecker, he's now gone on to set up his own label – Display Copy. Expect a very mixed record bag of tunes straight out the top draw.
*HUDSON MOHAWKE- this is a guy to keep a very close eye on. He's been rolling with Glasgow's LuckyMe crew for a while now and has just been signed to the legendary Warp Records- joining the likes of Jimmy Edgar, Luke Vibert, Squarepusher and Aphex Twin, among many others. He was a DMC finalist at the tender age of 15 so really knows his way around a set of decks- mixing a bit of everything- hip hop, balitmore, soul, grime, techno….the list goes on. He's really is not to be missed.
*FISK- Up and coming producer/ DJ from London been in demand all over the world including Germany, France, Brazil, Argentina, Canada and the US alongside the likes of Chemical Brothers, Justice, Boys Noize and Yuksek. He's been knocking out some awesome remixes and productions on Koda and Jardim Records and getting props from the likes on Mixmag, DJmag and all those lovely blogger types..
All this packed into the Wee Red Bar!? needless to say we're slightly excited….
