if then do is a response. flickering across three cities, it is an answer to our anxiety, a scratched-out purpose inspired by those who have come before to bury their ideas in the roots of the world. from there we think, carefully. we listen, consider, criticize, and urge our sounds through the doors that have been opened for us, seeking a path of our own, slowly: one steeped in vitality and the urgency of new ways of putting together. trying to catch up; keep up; keep moving-- touching, in our own way, what we can, in our ambition for sound, in our curiosity, in our lushness of listening, in the possibilities of songcraft and composition. etching what we can of our will to reinvention and evolution. if then do is an attitude toward sound; a sensibility borne of noise, dance, abstract electronix, om, plainsong, power, improv and composition but most of all any and all music borne of ideas and love.
I find myself enjoying it more and more each time I listen. Ross, I'm kicking myself for having missed Videoportraits" at Gallery 101. Mr Epp and I were planning to go on the last day, but he didn't end up dragging his arse out of bed until about 4:30. Hope you are enjoying life in Vancouver!

you're music is some of my favorite. i listen to your music as much anybody's, maybe even as much as coil at this point.
i am listening now: the production is extremely smooth - often times it all sounds as of a single fabric. that's an import feeling among the textural facets of music.
tonally droning, gliding - a sense of carnatic. popping out, bit beats and little beats in everything else.
