Iguassu Music was created in 2002 by Michael Mitchell (that would be me) as an avenue to get more of my productions out to the public. While in high school, I began DJing for some local rappers. This led to an interest in R&B, which in turn led to an interest in acid jazz and downtempo. Then came nujazz and brazilian music, which is where the name, “Iguassu” came from. Iguassu Falls (there are a few ways to spell it) is a huge waterfall on the borders of Argentina and Brazil. Iguassu Music tracks have found their way onto labels such as Om, INFRACom, Shadow, and Cosmic Flux. I play keys and drums and DJ. The end.
