Attention - The Audacity is currently on a time-out (we were very bad and our Mom made us stand in the corner). Before the hiatus, our story was as follows:
The Audacity is a three-piece rock band based in various parts of southern CT and New York. Members Larry Nardi (guitar, vocals), Jon Ringel (drums, vocals), and Paul Wise (bass) assembled for the first time in late 2005. The saga of their formation is as follows: Paul responded to a flier posted by Jon and Larry after the breakup of their previous band of ten years, Amazing Disgrace. They quickly developed a highly energetic and improvisational style of rock that all three members are quite excited about (you should be too).
The Audacity plan to continue on their path of loudly kicking ass in New York and southern Connecticut area for as long as it takes everyone to figure out that they are the best. Hopefully you will check out the music and become one of the early converts - imagine how proud you will be to tell your friends, "I liked them back when they were playing small clubs in Manhattan, and here they are selling out their sixth night at The Garden! Too bad those jerks wouldn't give me free tickets..."
Anyhow, the much-anticipated debut album from The Audacity, titled "The Musty Sessions" was released in early 2007. It is really quite good if you like that sort of thing. Don't take our word for it, though. The album is available for free MP3 download from www.reverbnation.com/ihatetheaudacity - or in the meantime, you can download a few of the tracks here or pick up a free CD when you come to a show...
