It all started at the age of seven watching a Michael Jackson video (thriller of course!), singing along to it, Mum walks into the room and says "you've gotta beautiful voice". From then Ive been hooked on expressing myself vocally and the journey began. At secondary school at the age of 13, I met a friend of mine called Janan and we decided to form a group (kids!!!), called JD&I later known as Forte, with two other members called De-u and Alex Beresford now an ITV weather presenter.
Throughout the eight year period in the group I experienced the ups and downs, smiles and frowns that come with the music industry, from performing as the support act for Dru Hill in Bristols Colston hall to performing in a back street club to a crowd of ten people.... I always had offers to go solo for other projects by different companies like L.E.T Management (Cleopatra), Riddem Records (Fresh Blood), Random Records (Lynden David Hall), Cent Records (Jamie Pearce) and Relentless Records (Joss Stone) but I felt I wasnt ready at the time because I had a lot of growing up to do and being in the group helped me learn and grow as an Artist, an experience I'll never forget!!! But, Ive now decided to go it alone and focus on my solo career.
I am now under management by a company called Patikular-Music Ltd which co owned by Patrick Hart (formerly of Fresh Blood). Ive just come back from Sweden after an eleven month period and worked with a production company called Base Camp, where I penned and recorded 40 songs with a producer called Mustodamus.
I love capturing emotions and experiences on paper, whether "good or bad, happy or sad" Its a blessing to be able to do that. Writing for other artists is another edge to me. Im also quite versatile and im currently working with different Drum n Base producers called Danny Byrd (Hospital records), Lomax (Ram records) and Xample (Ram records). I was feautured on Danny Byrds recent album called SUPERSIZED and did a track called REMEMBER with Lomax and Xample . There are also future releases featuring me on the way so all you Drum and Base heads look out. Im currently in the musical LUV ESTHER (and NGM production) playing the part of a king XERES!! It travels all over the Uk and we are soon looking to take it abroad to America. A must see!!!
Vocally, I get my influences from the likes of Joe, Donnell Jones, Stevie Wonder, and many more great vocalists. Emotion and delivery are what my vocals are about and Im learning more and more as I continue on this journey. I love performning because it gives me a chance to loose myself and it feels like im FLYING!!! I hope you are doing great my friends... and i hope you are copeing with MJ's flight into the heavens.... We are all sadden and hurt.. but we must keep the faith.. as Michael Says, and keep going and show how he has touched our lives. I'am proud to be a Michael Jackson Fan...from the beginning to the end.. i have never lost faith in Mike and i never will... Please allow me to walk beside Michael and be like a shadow to him... I'am happy that individuals feel that i sound like him,, and remind them of his sweet voice... But there is only one Michael Jackson, and their will never be another... He's a icon of epic porportions... I'am glad to of been the generation that got to see him up close and witness his magic... I'am always thinking of you Michael day and night.. and i only hope you are looking down on us, and never leave us alone....for we are not alone... You have givin us the opportunity to see the limits of Gods power when he bless someone with a Gift... You are surely a work of Art, a Masterpiece that is glorious to behold. Your entire body would execute moves that would boggle the mind... and dazzle one's eyes. How can we not watch you when you are in your Zone.
