Indie Kids Can’t Dance are a quartet of young, talented musicians from the rural parts of Kilkenny trying to make a name for themselves in the world of contemporary music. They are Liam Doyle (rhythm guitar, vocals), Michael Nolan (lead guitar), Lee Shannahan (bass), and David Doyle (drums).
The band formed in the summer of 2005 (although Micheal, Lee, and Liam had been playing together for a long time beforehand). Davy was brought into the mix when the trio decided finally on a perfect drummer.
As a group the band have played some pretty succesful gigs and have since created quite a large local following.
With more gigs planned, the future is looking hopeful for the group.
