Music
I hate: most pop music, most rap and hip hop, most screaming music with no melodic guitars behind it, most emo/screamo, most teenybopper "punk", and most R&B unless it's old school stuff.
To me, favorite bands and artists are the ones which evoke emotion from me and have more than just a few good songs. Here is a list of these bands:
Movies
Because I like so many movies...
Television
COLD CASE is my new addiction!, CSI, Law and Order (especially SVU), Sordid Lives, Burn Notice, House, The L Word, things on Discovery Health, SNL when it was funny, anything with stand-up comedy in it
Books
The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Truth And Comedy, The Broke Diaries, both of Ellen DeGeneres's books, anything by Mary Higgins Clark, Dean Koontz, and most of Stephen King
Heroes
The obvious choice here would be Jesus, for He is the only one I could call a hero and feel completely right about it. Other people I admire: my family, for they instilled manners, values, and appreciation in me; they have overcome hard times and are grateful for their blessings; Jackie Warner -- and many other successful fitness entrepreneurs, Colette Nelson -- and many other remarkable female bodybuilders, Joan Jett -- just 'cause she's such a kickass lady, anyone who lives selflessly with the intention of making the world a better place, and anyone who dares to follow his or her dreams in life.
I'm Aidyn. I almost feel arrogant making all the "I" statements I'm about to make, but this IS about ME, right?
I like having deep conversations about life and I thoroughly enjoy hearing other people's stories. I'm accepting of most people (and I try to see the positive traits in everybody), as long as they are not hateful, mean-spirited, or two-faced (yeah, yeah, I just ruled out half the population and maybe more...) I'm a kind and empathetic person, though I've also been told I'm rather brusque; I try to make a point of saying what I mean, meaning what I say, and cutting out the crap in between. I gravely dislike drama, but I enjoy listening to gossip. If you need someone to talk to, I'm the person who will listen, care, and not tell the entire world your huge, juicy secrets. ;)
Health/fitness is one of my biggest passions in life. While I'm an office slave/project manager by day (I actually like my job, too!), I'm a personal trainer/nutritional consultant on the side. One of the most beautiful things in the world is helping people become more comfortable with their bodies and teaching good, healthy habits that make them feel better physically. Don't get me going about any of this stuff, because I'll seriously NEVER SHUT UP. In addition to personal training, I've recently gotten into bodybuilding and plan on winning the title of Ms Gainesville 2009. (Bodybuilding contest, not beauty pageant! haha!)
My other passions involve volunteer work, youth ministry, and the creative arts: I write poetry and songs, design web sites for some extra cash (I had a business doing this once, but the economy's deplorable state kept it from being a real source of income for me), attempt to compose scripts, sing badly, and make pitiful attempts at guitar/bass, but I have fun doing it. I love acting and have done quite a bit of theatre work in the past. I've had a few bands and would be enthused to be in one again. Oh. I love riding my bike (I really do ride it everywhere) and if you live in or around Gainesville, you've most likely seen me.
Alright. If you made it this far, you're either really curious or really bored. Add and write me already, will ya?!
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone remotely interesting who is capable of an intelligent conversation and has more substance in his or her mind than that of American Idol and Wal Mart socks.
Anyone who dedicates his or her life to being fit/healthy and helping others do the same.
Anyone who is into community outreach and making a difference on both a local and global level.
Anyone who considers "having a good time" to consist of more than getting completely wasted, laughing about things that aren't funny, and stripping on a pool table.
Anyone who wants to creatively collaborate with me (plays, music, musicals, anything!)
Anyone into riding bikes (road, mountain, BMX, I'm there!)
You have a lot of nerve to send me a comment full of the words, "CHOCOLATE" and "KRISPY CREME"... I can smell Krispy creme from tan usa!!!! ...I can even smell the chocolate that's snuggled up in it's wrapper ready to be sold to some chocolate maniac in walmart. *drooling*

I have to sniff like 894579 cups of jo... I'm usually ALWAYS late... it just doesn't work. Now, I can unsderstand... if you've stayed awake all night long.. and you've gotten to the point where you need to do something to keep you awake so you randomly head out to tan.. but no. hahaha.

Not really sure exactly when I'm moving to Washington, but it will be this year--sooner, rather than later. And, I've been falling in love with Keari, my girlfriend, for quite a while now. We've known each other for 5 years, but only recently shifted gears with our relationship. She is everything that I could possibly want in a woman, and she makes me happier than I've been in my entire 35 years on this earth. I feel alive for the first time.
So, I noticed you legally changed your name. Good for you! Change is good, isn't it? How are things in your world? We need to catch up...
