SHORT ENGLISH BIO
Ila is an italian singer/songwriter.
She start to play guitar and compose when she was sixteen, during the schooltime, and she never stop.
In 2004 her first single "Penso troppo" ("I think too much") went out for the label "cinicodisincanto" whit whom in 2007 she published the first album "Malditesta" ("headache") a mix of rock, pop and world music produced by Paolo Filippi and his partner Teo Marchese in their Cavò Studio.
In 2009 came out a new EP "Va tutto bene..." ("everything is all right") for Tube Jam Records, produced by Paolo Filippi and Teo Marchese. This is a 6 songs cd, something ironic and sarcastic, that show an intent to a radicla change.
Now ila is working to the new album, a different way to intend her music, acoustic, sample and free. The album will be record on October with her band and some "secret" musicians from France, Uk and USA, and will came out on 2010.
Ila is also singer, composer and producer, with Teo Marchese, for 2Hez: an electro/world project. First album will be out at the end of 2009.

IN JULY 2009 I HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE: a workshop with Nitin Sawhney and 10 great musicians from Italy, Uk and France.
We played and compose together for 4 days and we had a gig the fifth day. Here some songs from the concert.

"Non ho mai capito realmente che cosa mi abbia fatto imbracciare una chitarra
quando avevo 17 anni, né cosa mi abbia sempre spinto a scrivere, anche prima di
iniziare a musicare i miei pensieri.
Quello che ho imparato durante questo lungo percorso è che la musica è uno strumento
meraviglioso per comunicare, sfogarsi, trasmettere, emozionare. Una magia vibrante
che può molto nella vita delle persone, anche se spesso non ce ne rendiamo conto.
Quello che mi ha fatto continuare a comporre, nonostante fare il musicista in
italia sia difficile e spesso frustrante, è la semplice spinta interiore, una
necessità, come una fame continua che prende lo stomaco, la voglia di condividere
con tutti quella magia prescindendo dalla fama…
Sono una cantautrice genovese giramondo.

Cantautrice genovese giramondo, ila comincia
a suonare a 17 anni durante un'occupazione scolastica.
Dopo il liceo Artistico capisce che la sua strada sarebbe stata quella musicale
e si trasferisce a Milano in cerca di "fortuna".
Nel 2000, la sua prima chattata e il casuale incontro con
Fabrizio Brocchieri, label manager della CinicoDisincanto, grazie al quale nel
settembre 2004 esce il primo singolo "Penso
troppo"
Nel 2005, dopo l&8217;ennesima coincidenza, conosce Paolo
Filippi e Teo Marchese del Cavò
Studio di Azzano S. Paolo (BG) grazie ai quali registra il suo
primo disco "MALDITESTA"
che verrà pubblicato nel 2007 e che porta in tour con
la "malditesta
Band" (Teo Marchese, Andy Ronchi e Teo Airoldi) tra il 2007 e inizio
2008
"malditesta" è un progetto carico di ricordi, sensazioni
vissute da trasmettere e far ascoltare, a cui hanno collaborato musicisti del
calibro di Fabrizio Bosso, Massimo Moriconi, Mauro Negri, Israel Varela,
Marco Bianchi e molti altri.
Un album in cui traspaiono suggestioni, grinta, la semplicità di ogni
giorno e una forte voglia di musica. Una miscela di suoni dal sapore rock, pop,
world e di testi visionari che hanno la sola presunzione di regalare emozioni.
A marzo 2007 Ila è stata protagonista a SanremOff
come ospite del M.E.I. di Faenza (Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti);
ad Aprile 2007 si è conquistata un posto fra gli undici
finalisti delle selezioni nazionali di Primo Maggio Tutto l'Anno,
vincendo, con il brano Pallottolion, il Premio EcoRadio
Ha aperto i concerti di: AYO, DANIELE SILVESTRI, Hera & Adam Masterson,
Nordgarden, Brychan e altri.
Alla fine di Marzo 2009 esce il nuovo Ep di ila, un cd di 6 canzoni
intotolato "Va tutto bene...", prodotto da Tube
Jam Records.
Un disco più maturo, carico di testi ironici, parole volutamente taglienti
e accusatorie, con un sound a volte caustico, spesso scanzonato, sicuramente teso
ad un cambiamento e alla volontà di scrollarsi di dosso definizioni ed
inutili etichette.
Per ila il fine unico è quello di suscitare emozioni, sempre e comunque.
Attualmente (ottobre 2009) ila sta registrando il suo nuovo disco, un lavoro molto diverso dai precedenti, impreziosito da alcune collaborazioni straniere.

I hope you are ok and having a great day. It is sunny here but cold, very cold. I have spent much of this afternoon making cards once again for Christmas.
