The Festival will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard III, and Scapin this upcoming 2009 season. For the young and young at heart, our educational outreach program will be performing a 45-minute version of The Tempest. As always, our educational programming is FREE to all!
The Illinois Shakespeare Festival is a professional repertory theatre in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The Festival originated in 1978 as a joint enterprise of the Illinois State University Department of Theatre and the College of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Illinois State University Foundation (a not-for-profit enterprise). Productions are performed in an open-air, Elizabethan-style theatre constructed on the grounds of the Ewing Cultural Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
