About me:

The Festival will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard III, and Scapin this upcoming 2009 season. For the young and young at heart, our educational outreach program will be performing a 45-minute version of The Tempest. As always, our educational programming is FREE to all!

The Illinois Shakespeare Festival is a professional repertory theatre in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The Festival originated in 1978 as a joint enterprise of the Illinois State University Department of Theatre and the College of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Illinois State University Foundation (a not-for-profit enterprise). Productions are performed in an open-air, Elizabethan-style theatre constructed on the grounds of the Ewing Cultural Center in Bloomington, Illinois.

Tickets are on sale now. For tickets or more information, visit thefestival.org or call 309-438-2535

Who I'd like to meet:

We welcome Shakespeare novices and enthusiasts alike to our own ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at the Theatre at Ewing.

Make it an evening and join us for Green Shows, Madrigal singers, and a picnic on the newly renovated Genevieve Green Gardens. Bask in the beauty of nature on a summer’s eve with good friends, good food, and good wine.

And don’t forget to peruse our gift shop for souvenirs and gifts!
